I took a poetry workshop class at university that produced many poems based on different topics. Not all of them were great, some of them were okay, and a few were great. It's been barely a year since then, but I made sure to save my poems in case I decided to publish them someday (my focus and goal is fiction writing, mainly about magic and supernatural creatures, but it's been difficult creating original works so far). But I thought it would be a good idea to finally publish my poems on a public platform after talking to a new friend who also writes poetry and started her first novel recently--shoutout to @KiraTaleTwister on Wattpad! I loved her poetry so much that I wanted to show her one of my poems to see what she thought of it. And she liked it (with some feedback to improve on it)!
I will admit, it takes very little to boost my motivation. Not that that's bad or anything, but if the smallest thing can get me working again why can't I motivate myself? A mystery for another time, I suppose. Anyways, after hearing her feedback and her compliments on my work, I came up with the idea to publish a few of my poems and let others give their own critiques for them.
So, here it is and...enjoy!
