If you haven't prayed your salah yet, do so, this book can wait but your obligations to Allah cannot.

Please keep me in your duas, and pray for the ummah.

Ameera's POV:

*the next day*

The walima was happening today, like a reception after the nikkah (officiating of the marriage). I wore a green abaya.

I stepped out of Fawzia's room and headed into the main-hall where the stage and chairs were set up (one side for the women, and one side for the men, with a walkway in between). I took a seat in the front, next to Hajira and Aisha. I wondered where Fawzia was. I saw her step out from behind the sparkly backdrop into the light, holding a mic.

"Asalamwalaykumwarahmatullahiwabarakatahu, everyone, Ahmed and I each just have a few words to share," Fawzia said, Ahmed walking up behind her.

"Before I can thank anyone else, I want to begin by thanking Allah (SWT), for blessing me with such a beautiful, smart, and capable wife to spend the rest of my life with," Ahmed said, side-hugging Fawzia and kissing her forehead.

Everyone, including me laughed when we saw Fawzia's face turn red.

"Secondly, I want to thank Fawzia for choosing me to be her husband-" Ahmed started before Fawzia grabbed the mic from his hand.

"Alright husband, thank you for the words of gratitude, but I think your time here is up," She said embarrassed.

Ahmed chuckled before heading to the men's side.

"Okay, it's my turn now, okay bismillah (in the name of god), I want to thank Allah first too, Alhamdulillah, I was blessed with a pious spouse and a beautiful wedding day, I also want to thank an extraordinary person, my cousin, always there by my side, please come up here Ameera, if you could say a few words of advice it would be great," Fawzia exclaimed.

*to my horror* she had called me up to speak in front of the guests, I HATED public speaking for my life. I was extremely awkward, when it came to people I didn't know very well, but I was extroverted with people I knew.  Ya Allah, please help me. I stumbled to a stance and started walking up the stage stairs.

 Hamza's POV:

I was sitting on the men's side when Ahmed came to sit next to me, after being kicked off the stage by his wife.
