Julien felt a surge of excitement as she swung open the doors to her opulent hotel suite in Las Vegas. The extravagant luxury that awaited her and her bridal party at her bachelorette party left her utterly astonished.
"Oh my god, Audrey, you have outdone yourself," Julien exclaimed as she stepped into the Chairman Suite at the Palazzo Hotel. The suite boasted four bedrooms, along with a private pool and spa for them to revel in over the weekend.
Zoya, Julien's sister, accompanied her into the suite, and her eyes fell upon the private terrace. "Is this really necessary? It's only one night," she remarked, her gaze wandering around the expansive living room with its tall ceilings and grand chandelier.
Audrey, Julien's best friend and maid of honor, replied, slightly annoyed, "Yes, it's necessary. JC deserves the best. Fortunately, she made me her maid of honor; otherwise, you might have booked us a room at the Motel 6."
Zoya couldn't help but smirk. "Uh huh, so this has nothing to do with outdoing Aki and Max for what they did for Obie at his Bachelor Party?"
Audrey rolled her eyes and retorted, "If it were, we wouldn't be in the middle of the desert; we'd be in France or Italy right now. But Julien wanted a 'traditional' bachelorette party," Audrey sighed. "So I'm making it the best with what I've got."
Julien, unable to contain her excitement, chimed in, "This is so great! I can't wait until everyone gets here," as she snapped selfies on the terrace, which offered a breathtaking view of the Las Vegas Strip.
"Speaking of them, who's coming?" Zoya asked curiously.
Audrey produced her list and began to read it out, "Obie's sister, Julien's two random friends, Monet, Luna is still to be determined. The only person who can't make it is Shan."
Zoya nodded in understanding, saying, "Yeah, I know she's stuck in London," a hint of disappointment in her voice.
"Audrey, please refrain from referring to Bree and Lauren as my 'random friends.' Remember, you promised to be on your best behavior with my college friends," Julien gently reminded Audrey, urging her to maintain a respectful tone.
Audrey agreed with a sigh, "Fine, I'll be in my room, confirming everything for tonight." She retrieved her phone, determined to ensure that all the plans for the evening went off without a hitch.
As they anxiously anticipated the arrival of their friends, Julien and Zoya made a choice to fully embrace the luxurious private pool, luxuriating in the sun's comforting warmth. They leisurely sipped their drinks, reclining by the poolside, while the rest of the bridal party gradually gathered. Yet, Julien couldn't help but notice the anxiety that seemed to envelop Zoya each time the suite doors swung open.
"Z, are you okay? Why do you keep glancing at the door?" Julien inquired; her concern evident in her voice.
Zoya, trying to downplay her unease, replied, "No reason, just wanted to see if everyone is here so we can get started." She shifted her gaze back to her phone, attempting to conceal her growing apprehension.
