I know other people don't share this opinion with me, but I think the rain is soothing. I like the noise it makes when it splatters on the pavement. My most favorite thing to do is go to the park in the rain and listen to music. My earbuds are currently at full volume and blasting "King For A Day" by Pierce The Veil. I listened as my shoes slapped the pavement, making a loud echo around me. I felt raindrops sliding from off of my hair and dropping on my face. I reached the playground and went to go sit on the swings until I noticed a boy that looked about my age sitting on the swings and gently pushing himself back and forth with his black boots. Fuck. Why does somebody have to be here right now? I was really looking forward to being able to relax and sit in the rain, like always. Actually, it's whatever. It's not like they're going to talk to me or anything. I awkwardly walked in front of him and sat in the swing furthest away from him. Who even is he, anyway? He looks cool as hell. I've never seen him around, which is rare, considering I live in a very small town in Kansas. The rarest part is that he's cool. All of the people who move here are boring and basic. I love his hair. It's black and red, which is personally my favorite color combo. He had on skinny black jeans with holes in them and a black hoodie. I couldn't see the design on his shirt, but the shirt was black, as well as everything else he was wearing. He was extremely pale, like a vampire. I mean, I know vampires aren't real, but he sort of looked like one. I think vampires are hot. Wait, what the fuck? Why am I thinking about that? He isn't hot. I just saw him for the first time. I just think he's cool, not hot. I mean, I guess he is pretty good looking. He then turned his head to look at me. Shit! Was I staring? I quickly looked away. What am I doing? I shook my head and tried to focus on my music, but I couldn't, considering the fact that a random stranger just caught me staring at them. A random cool stranger. I think this is the most embarrassing thing that's happened to me in a while.
I can't handle the embarrassment anymore. I stood up and walked swiftly to the exit of the park, when I heard his music blaring through his headphones. I think it was a song by Green Day. I felt my face heat up at the thought of it. That does kind of make him hot, dressing like that and listening to Green Day. Wait, what? I think I just need to walk around some more to clear my head. My mind is wandering off into somewhere it shouldn't be. I took a deep breath and exited the park.
