My alarm clock blared in my ear. I opened my eyes and groaned. I shoved it off of my nightstand. It was still going off, which annoyed the fuck out of me.
"Shut the hell up!" I said angrily. I got up and out of bed. I immediately picked it up and walked to my window. I opened my window and chucked it. I didn't care, even though my room was on the second floor. I shut my window and climbed back into my bed. I smiled as I shut my eyes, knowing I could go back to sleep without my stupid ass alarm clock screaming at me. I was about to sleep when all of a sudden, my phones alarm blared into my ear this time. My eyes flew open.
"KILL YOURSELF, YOU STUPID CUNT!" I screamed at my phone. I then realized what I said. I immediately started laughing. I turned off my phones alarm and looked at the time. I probably needed to wake up anyway. I mean, I don't have anything planned, but I'd still like to get up so that I'm not in bed all day. I grabbed some clothes and walked out of my room. I wasn't wearing a shirt, but I didn't think anyone was home, so it'll be fine. I walked down the stairs and almost dropped my clothes because I got startled. I gasped and covered myself up with the clothes in my arms. I felt my face turn red.
"Kieran, I didn't know you were awake," My brother Eddie said awkwardly. I could tell I startled him too, because his eyes were widened and he jumped. Standing next to him was a boy I didn't recognize. I wonder who he is? Probably one of my brother's friends. I mean, why else would he be here with my brother? He must've moved here recently, considering I don't know him.
"Umm, Kieran, this is my new friend Kyle, but you can call him Ky." Eddie said, motioning to Kyle. Kyle looked at me and gave me a small smile. He looked down a little bit. I was confused at first, then I remembered I had no shirt on. Fuck, how did I forget? I gave a small wave before speed walking to the bathroom. Maybe taking a shower will make me feel better.
I stepped out of the bathroom, and my eyes locked on a boy that I had seen once before. What the hell was he doing here? It was the boy from the park. He looked in my direction and stared at me for a few seconds. I mean, at least I had a shirt on. I felt my face heat up. I speed walked past him and into the kitchen. I stopped in front of Eddie, leaning my head inwards, as if it would help block out my voice so the other people couldn't hear me.
"Who is that other boy and why is he here?" I asked in a hushed voice.
"That's Dakota, and he's Ky's brother. why?" He said casually.
"No reason, just wondering," I said. Why am I so worried about it? I don't even know him. My heart is beating so fast.
"Do you guys want some bacon?" My brother asked.
"I'll help you make some," I said while walking over to him to help.
We sat down at the table with our food. I couldn't concentrate though, considering the boy from the park was sitting right next to me. I kept stealing glances at him. He was good looking, and even better looking up close. His eyes were a golden color and he had really nice lips. His hair looked really fluffy, too. I can't control my own fucking thoughts. I can't stop thinking about that, what the hell is my problem? I got up and went back upstairs.
Once I was finally in my room, I grabbed my earbuds and walked back downstairs.
"I'm going on a walk," I yelled to Eddie. I didn't want for a response, I just left. I needed to get outside and get some air.
I already knew where I was headed. Today it wasn't raining, but it was still pretty. It was foggy and cold. Whatever, I don't feel like going back inside to get a jacket. I began walking.
I shivered as I walked forward. My feet automatically led me to the park. I sat down on one of the swings. I was glad I was finally all alone. I mean, I didn't mind his company, considering he didn't say anything to me. I gently pushed myself back and forth, making the swing squeak softly. I sighed. My mind has a problem. I wish it didn't, but it does. I know I'm bisexual, but I just met that boy. I shouldn't already be having those thoughts about him, about how attractive he is. I've never even fucking talked to him! Maybe I should try to go lay down in my bed.
Dammit, I really should have considered bringing a jacket. It's cold as shit out here. I felt my body shivering and my teeth chattering. I started sprinting. I just want to get home fast. Not because I want to see him, only because I'm cold.
I walked into the door, and I was instantly relived at the warmth of inside my house. The boy from the park, Ky, and Eddie were all smushed together on our small couch playing a video game.
"Hey Kieran, want to play with us? We have one more controller," Eddie said while holding out a controller. It looked like they were playing Mario Kart. It seemed fun. The park boy scooted over, making room for me.
"Thanks," I mumbled. I sat next to him, our arms touching. He smelled really good, like vanilla. I kept accidentally bumping my knee into his, which caused "sorry" to slip out from my mouth multiple times.
"You're good," He replied. Woah. His voice was really deep. I felt my face heat up. I had only been playing for like ten minutes, but I think I want to go to my room now,
"I-I'm going upstairs," I stuttered, awkwardly reaching over the park boys lap and handing my controller to Eddie, who was sandwiched between Ky and the park boy.
"Are you sure?" Eddie said.
"We were about to go to get lunch if you wanted to come with," Ky offered. I felt the edges of my lips tugging upwards.
"Yeah, I'll come. Come to get me when you're leaving." I said while I walked slowly up the stairs. Fuck, I hope they didn't realize how red my face was. I knew it was red and I can't even see myself. Well, I'm hungry anyway, so I better get ready to go out with them.
