I sat on the couch, a controller gripped tightly in my hands. Ky was sitting on one side of me, Dakota on the other. It was making me a bit uncomfortable how close Ky was getting to me. I looked at Ky. He was kind of attractive. He had dark brown hair. It was fluffy, but not like Dakotas. He had light green eyes and freckles, but not too many. His nose was straight and his lips were average sized and kind of chapped. I then looked over at Dakota, comparing the twos features. Dakotas hair was black and red, which is my favorite color combo, and very, very fluffy. His nose is straight too. His lips are bigger, but not too much bigger. They were a light pink color. He must have applied chapstick everyday because his lips looked really soft. His lips started moving, as if he was saying something.
"Your character died," Dakota said in a tone that sounded like he'd repeated the same phrase multiple times. Shit, had i really been staring at him for that long? Why the hell was i so focused on his lips? I looked further up on his face and noticed his face turning red. Fuck, he noticed me staring at him, didn't he? This is like really embarrassing. He caught me not only staring at him, but at his lips. My eyes widened.
"I- sorry," I quickly turned my attention back to the tv.
   I guess they're saying the night? I mean,
it is a Saturday, so it's reasonable. I am a little surprised that my mom let them stay, considering she wouldn't be home all weekend because of her job. They were all planning on making a giant fort in the living room and sleep in it. Ky asked if i wanted to sleep in there with them. He looked like he really wanted me to, so i agreed to it. I grabbed a bunch of blankets and pillows and other stuff to make our fort comfortable.
I already called my spot before anyone else could."I'm sleeping next to Kieran," Ky said right as we were about to lay down in the beds already made That.. that is a little bit weird. Wait, where's Dakota?
"Oh, it seems i've already beat you to that, Kyle." A voice said from inside of the fort. My face started to heat up. I'm sleeping next to Dakota?
Ky ran into the fort. We heard a bunch of banging around. Me and Eddie looked at each other with shocked and confused expressions on our faces. I peered inside of the fort cautiously. What was going on in there? Pillows were thrown everywhere and Dakota was laying in the spot next to my claimed spot. Ky was sitting across the fort with an angry expression on his face. When he saw me, his expression softened.
"Hey, do you think you could make room to squeeze one more person on your side? I.. uh, want to sleep over there, it looks more.. spacious and comfortable. Yeah, it looks really comfortable. There's more blankets," Ky asked nervously.
"I mean.. I guess so?" I replied. Ky grinned widely and lie down on my side. Dakota wasn't far away from him, but there was a gap in the middle for me. I lie down in the middle of them and attempted to get comfy. Eddie came into the fort carrying lots of snacks. He also had an iPad, which i assumed was going to be used for movies.  He set it all down and set up the iPad on the back wall of the fort, which was actually a table leg behind the multiple layers of blankets. He turned on a random movie. I was not paying any attention, though. My focus was completely on Dakota. His hair looked so soft. I just wanted to touch it. I was interrupted by Ky. He coughed rather loudly and scooted even closer to me than he already was. His shoulder was brushing against mine. He had so much room beside him. Why? I turned around, facing Dakota, and slid down to where my head was resting on my pillow. I pulled the blanket higher up and closed my eyes. I didn't realize how tired i was until I fell asleep the second my eyes shut closed.
