Has it been days, weeks, hours?
I can't tell.
All that I can tell is when Orochimaru wears different clothes I just assume it's another day.
"Are we awake dear?" I hear him call from the door frame.
I sit up.
"Good. I want you to try walking today." He says
He guides my legs to the edge of the bed.
I look up to him. Am I really healed from the pain?
I press my good foot on the ground first. Then my hurt one.
I look back up to Orochimaru.
He's waiting for my response with raised eyebrows.
"It doesn't hurt." I say.
He smiles and extends a hand.
I grab it and stand up.
I sway a little and grab his arm for stability.
Kabuto is in the doorway smiling.
I smile now and let go of Orochimaru's hand. Now able to walk on my own.
I walk around the room and laugh.
"You fixied it!" I say to him.
"What I could do for now." He says bashfully.
I run up to him and hug him tightly. He is as stiff as a board but doesn't push me away.
Kabuto is making a funny face seeing his reaction.
I run and give him a hug too, crashing into him. He wraps his arms around my waist.
"How does it feel?" He asks.
"Like I could run all day!" I reply.
"I need to monitor it. But it should be alright to start a little training." Kabuto says.
"Training?" I say backing away from both of them.
"Yes training." He says.
Suddenly it all makes sense.
"You— this is the only reason why you saved me? To go back there? I won't!" I say feeling a tightening feeling in my chest.
"They will find you." Orochimaru says, then leaves me with Kabuto.
I back up to the wall and slide down, sitting on the ground.
Kabuto walks slowly over to me.
"Everything has a price. Your freedom, your leg..." he says.
