"Don't you think we should let them have a day to themselves?" George asked Fred as he began digging through his wardrobe for a pair of swim shorts that he wasn't expecting to need.
Fred had already found his pair of red swim shorts and was putting them on. He'd overheard Harry talking to Ron about the lake, and was able to smoothly butt-in and get himself invited. It was actually Ginny who invited him. She looked satisfied with herself after. "Maybe when they do something I don't find fun," Fred said, pulling a tank top on for the walk to the lake.
"I just wish you wouldn't drag me along with you," George joked, yanking a pair of dark green shorts out.
"Have better things to do, do you?" Fred smirked at him.
George scoffed and they headed downstairs. If there was one thing Fred was looking forward to, it was seeing Sofia in a bathing suit. Would it be a tight-fitting one piece, a playful two piece, or a sensual bikini? Only imagination could tell for now. But time? Time was going to be a blessing today. Aside from Sofia and her morning routine, they were only waiting on Lee Jordan, who Fred and George had invited for their own entertainment. Everyone else was chattering about lunch, and making sure not to forget snacks, when Lee burst through the door with sunglasses, blue shorts, and a towel hanging around his neck. Everyone greeted Lee happily and waited for Sofia, who Lee did not remember by name. Fred was sure that when he saw her it would make him remember her even less.
"This girl," Ron said, sitting at the table with his face in his hands. "We're only going swimming, what in the bloody hell could she be doing?"
"Quit your complaining, Ronald! I'm ready!" Sofia said, coming down the stairs in a big band t-shirt, jean shorts, and pink flip-flops. Her hair was flowing down and shiny, as it always was.
Fred's heart skipped a beat and Lee stepped forward. "The infamous Sofia, I presume?" he asked, smiling.
Sofia returned his gesture. "Lee Jordan, is that you? I haven't seen you in ages."
"I'm a bit ashamed I don't remember you," he admitted. Fred rolled his eyes; Lee had always been such a flirt.
"You can catch up on the walk, can we please go?" Ron whined, and got up without waiting for their answer.
On the 10-minute walk to the lake, Sofia and Lee talked casually. After some revisiting of the past, Sofia was able to remind Lee of her. Fred lingered behind them, his eyes switching between the two as he waited to see if Lee would just flirt, or if he would flirt. At first glance, Sofia didn't seem like Lee's type. But Sofia was everybody's type. George walked next to Fred, occasionally laughing to himself, or saying something to Fred and poking him until he got a response. They made it to the lake and everyone began laying out their towels, and taking off their clothes.
Ron went charging into the water, and immediately dunked his head under. Hermione slowly wavered in until Ron could reach her, and yanked her toward him. "Coming?" Ginny asked Harry with a flirty smile.
Fred looked around for Sofia, but didn't see her. "Lee, where'd Sofie go?" he asked, standing up quickly and swinging his head around.
"She's already in the water, dumbass," Lee told him, jogging off toward a rock hanging over the water to jump in.
Fred squinted at the bodies in the water and saw Sofia swimming with Ron and Hermione. She and Hermione were splashing Ron as he tried to grab them, spitting out lake water. Fred sighed and took his shirt off, sitting in the sun to warm up before going in. Beside him, George applied sunscreen, mumbling something about not wanting to be the same shade as his hair. Fred looked at the different towels, and could easily tell who the thick, soft pink one belonged to. Her clothes were kicked off in the sand next to it and Fred felt anguished he had not gotten to see what bathing suit she had on beneath the shirt yet.
