Sofia had agreed to give Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Ginny a day to go on dates. They'd been so desperate for their own time lately, but were doing so many group activities since Sofia was there. It made her feel slightly left out, but she understood them wanting their own time together. Hermione and Ron went on a picnic, and Harry brought Ginny somewhere secret to surprise her. That left Sofia at the house, where she read quietly in her room to pass the time. Thought after two straight hours it was already boring. She slammed the book shut and sighed. Today would've been the perfect day to see her father and brother, if she had known in advance. Today her dad was working, so it would be a waste to go home for no reason.
Chewing her cheek, and staring across the room at a scratch in the furniture, Sofia clicked her tongue and stood up. She headed downstairs where Fred, George, and Lee were messing around in the kitchen, drinking water. When Sofia came in, they went silent and she suddenly felt like she'd intruded. They watched as she grabbed one of the apples she'd picked and rinsed it underneath the faucet, and leaned against the counter, biting into the apple and staring back at them.
"Good morning, Sparky," Fred said smoothly to her.
"Good morning," George and Lee added together.
"Good morning, boys," Sofia said, as they shared a look. "What?" she asked, feeling left out, and slightly offended. First her friends, and now the backups. How rude.
Fred tilted his head at her and opened his mouth. "Uh, would you wanna hang out with us today? We're heading to Diagon Alley to check on the shop, and get a bite to eat."
Sofia's heart bounced excitedly in her chest. Anything would be better than staying here alone, since even Mrs. Weasley was gone running errands all day. "I would love to!" she said with a grin. "Though I'll have to get ready."
"No!" Fred and George yelled.
"You look absolutely bloody amazing already, no need to ruin that," George chuckled nervously.
Sofia squinted suspiciously at him. "I haven't even brushed my hair yet."
"Well," Fred cleared his throat. "It looks fantastic."
"Just give me five minu-," Sofia couldn't get the words out of her mouth before the three of them yanked her out of the house and forced her to apparate with them without even grabbing her purse. She hoped they'd like paying for her lunch, because without her purse she had nothing.
The four of them strolled through Diagon Alley with ease. While Fred and George went inside to check on the shop, Lee took Sofia to Quality Quidditch Supplies to look at the new quidditch robes for Ireland. Lee was a huge fan. Sofia was an even bigger fan. They tried the jerseys of their favorite characters on together and began jumping around with excitement. Sofia was extremely saddened to remember she didn't get to bring her wallet.
Lee and Sofia went back to the joke shop after to wait for Fred and George, but they were already done, and sitting outside. Once they met up, they decided on getting a bite to eat at the Leaky Cauldron before heading anywhere else. Fred had slyly slung his arm around Sofia's shoulder as they walked. Sofia rolled her eyes, but allowed him to keep her by his side. They entered the Leaky Cauldron and waited for a couple minutes for an open table. Fred continued with the shoulder holding, which began to make her feel very pink in the cheeks as some people she recognized as students began to look at Fred oddly. He didn't seem to take notice.
Lee went to the bathroom while they waited and Sofia shifted her weight uncomfortably, feeling too many eyes of previous peers on her. "You alright, Sofie?" Fred asked her with a smile.
