Who would have thought, that a family of 6 boys, that the hardest task would be to organize a babysitter for the day. I never would have thought, that 6 boys over the age of 18, would be so hard to get them to watch Elsie for the day. I understood that they had busy lives and I wasn't complaining about spending the day with Elsie, I just had my concerns and worries of her having to come to work with me, because I wouldn't be able to be with her all day.

"Alright, have you got everything in your bag?" the amount of washing of her clothes that she had worn and brought here, was amazing with the state that they were now in, but the holes were only just getting bigger. I was planning on taking her to stores after work today, and maybe meeting the boys out for dinner, as something different.

I wanted to treat them, as they had been nothing but the most supportive people when I told them that they couldn't bombard Elsie, as she was still coming to terms with her being our little sister and us being her big brothers. I knew that some of the boys were still coming to the terms with it, especially knowing that our sister had seen our father be murdered, right before we had swooped in to save her.

"Wait, no" she muttered, as I was crouched down to her height, holding open a backpack that one of the boys had once used for school, as my little sister was rummaging through the two small bags that she had brought. Neither one of us had felt the need to go through her belongings, leaving that up to her to do, but we just hadn't had the time to sort everything out for her.

She ran back over to me, nearly pushing me over, but I steadied the two of us on the wall, as she placed in a teddy, and what I noticed, to be a small water bottle, that looked like something one of the boys had used. I guess I would have to question one of the boys when we all met up for dinner later tonight. "There" she stood there, looking proud of herself, as I smiled softly at her, before standing up to my full height, and grabbing her little hand.

I then walked her out of her bedroom, the house for once being deadly silent, as we were the only two left in the house, before I was slowly walking her to the stairs. She stopped at the stairs, and I stopped, after taking a step. I looked to her, and the scared face that my little sister showed, was enough for me to swing her backpack over my shoulder, and then swinging her up onto my hip, as the rubbing of the eyes started, and the slow breathing of my sister, calming down in my arms.

"Sleepy, huh?" I questioned the small girl, as I grabbed her coat along with my own, before I walked us out to my car in the front driveway, thanking myself mentally for keeping the boys car seats. I got a little nod in response, as I put her small body into the car seat, handing her teddy that she had loosened in her grip, before I was walking around the car, and placing her bag beside me, and heading into work.

I never thought, that looking after a small child, especially at the age of 8, could be so simple. I had packed her some lunch, which she still hadn't touched, as she was still passed out. The slamming of doors and people coming in and out of my office, had not once stirred the small girl that was lying on the couch in my office, dead asleep. Oliver had already called me today during his break at school, to check in on her.
