(WARNING this chapter contains BLOOD and VIOLENCE)

"Your leader was SO NAIVE." I responded with a smirk as they snarled at me.

The blade burnt my throat as I grinned wider. The heretic before me seemed almost concerned with my reaction... FUCK. I could feel the blade cutting into my vocal cords as my body forced me to cough up blood, staining more of the fur on my face. My body twitched and gasped for air. A wound in a stupid mortal-like body like this stung SO much more than as a bishop, it felt like fire burning my throat. They threw me off to the side as I fell onto my back. The pain of being thrown barely even registering, my throat distracted me. They seemed to be walking away?.. I can't really tell. I couldn't really care either. I let myself bleed out for the moment, not trying to stop it whatsoever. My vision got brighter as I stared at the leaves on the trees high up above me. The world felt like it was slowing down.

Am I really okay with dying to a few heretics like this? It's for the sake of my own entertainment is it not? Is this even worth it? Have I even truly come to terms with what I have done, With my brothers and sister? With everything that-

. . .

I don't wanna die. I DON'T WANNA DIE. I jolted as I forced my weak body to clutch my throat, a futile attempt to stop the blood. The blooded seeped onto my hand. I became increasingly more dizzy and lightheaded from the amount of blood loss and my sudden movement. I DON'T WANNA DIE GOD DAMMIT. I'VE COME SO FAR, I WILL NOT END LIKE THIS. WHY AM I SO STUPID!? I NEED TO GET BACK TO THE LAMB! GOD DAMMIT!!!

I gasped for air as my throat refused to let me speak or utter more than a bloody gurgle. My vision blurred as the blue from the sky mixed with the greens of the forest. I could no longer hear as I painfully gasped for air, my vision spotting... A mix of purple somehow joined the mush of colors in my vision.

I refuse to die, I WILL NOT DIE. My body has other ideas as my eyelids slap shut, my body going limp ...nothing, I can't see, hear, feel or smell. Am I even conscious?

.......

I don't open my eyes. I attempt to let out a groan but a strong and horribly intense pain shoots through my throat as I suck in a breath harshly. I feel like my throat just went through shitty surgery or somethin.. I feel some type of cloth surrounding me or, silk? It's restricting my body and feels like there another piece around my neck. I slowly open my eyes as I blink slowly, my vision still slightly blurry as I glance around. I appear to be in a, well, very dark place, it seems to be inside of a structure, maybe a cave? There is very tiny warm lanterns lighting up the desolate cave. I glance down as my vision begins to focus better, what the hell- IM IN A FUCKING COCOON. WHAT IN THE ACTUAL OLD FAITH!?

I am LITERALLY STUCK to the WALL with SILK. I begin to thrash around, ignoring the obvious pain in my throat with each move I make. Suddenly a big purple blob shoots down above me as I look up, I'm immediately met with a purple spider face only a foot from my face.

"S-SHA-" I choke out as I then cough up some blood already, the taste of my blood lingers on my tongue now. That is definitely not him, I just humiliated myself...GREATT. The spider was a lot smaller than Shamura, right? And uh less eyes. I look at the spider before me with an aggravated glare. I had just embarrassed myself in front of this idiot spider. Could he have introduced himself in any less of an idiotic manner?

"Good morning..." The spider greets as they smile sharply, swinging their web their hanging from to make them face me head on. Their in front of me now about three feet away from me. Their voice is oddly filled with a creepy undertone. Who even if this thing?

"I'm Helob.. I speak with the lamb, they seem to enjoy morsels as yourself.." They say with a widening grin as Helob giggles and stares at me, examining me. "I found you bleeding out... Much inconvenience.." They trail off oddly. The lamb seeing me as a snack? Hah! They wish.

At least now I have conformation that this Helob thing found me and I'm not having a weird fever dream. Wait I don't even know if my experiment worked.. Am I immortal or mortal? ughhhh, insolent spider couldn't mind his own business and let me figure this out. I glanced to the side then looked back at him. I couldn't exactly reply since my vocal chords were cut.. Eugh, How pathetic.

"Weak little creature... so TEMPTING to eat.." They say with an increasingly hungry look in their eyes as they then composed themself. "I must send you off... Yes.." Were they even talking to me at this point or themself? God this spider is strange. "Keep bandages on.. Or some one else might eat you little morsel... " Helob trails off, they seem to have quite the appetite.. "You are the Lamb's, I must not upset my best customer... Be on your way cat." Cat!? Eugh, what a lowly nick name, compared to the title I used to hold.. I feel my body unravel out of the cocoon and fall a few feet from the ground. I skin my knees lightly. They didn't even have basic curtsy to help me down, insolent spider.

I got to my feet as I began to tread out of the cave. "Say hello to The Lamb for me...." Helob calls out in a slightly more friendly tone as I exit the cave. The blinding light of the sun beating down on me. Helob stayed back in the cave as I walked through the forest of Darkwood again. What day even is it..? How long was I even there? What part of the forest am I even in now?

I suppose it doesn't matter that much as long as there is a village  nearby.. I take off the necklace as I clench it in my hand and position  it over a rock. Now to finally get rid of that wretched Lamb's mark. I grin as I  smash the stone harshly onto the rock as it only dents... I scoffed as I  glared at the necklace. As a bishop this would have been easy as cake,  why isn't it working? I smash it down on the rock again as it only chips  a bit. WHY ISN'T IT BREAKING?!Whatever, this is an INSIGNIFICANT PENDANT! I throw the necklace off to the side in a bush somewhere as I continue walking.

Why did that Helob guy seem so close with the Lamb? I wouldn't think that the Lamb would actually do business with a guy who seemed to eat anything and everything living... Then again, the cult does have cannibals. Speaking of the Lamb, they might be looking for me now. That is if I've been gone for too long.. I need to find a village or some sort of shelter at least, maybe that'll hide me from him.

I better get going.
