"our secret moments in a crowded room

they got no idea about me and you"

I finished everything I had to do by 6 PM and decided to send a message in the group. Spencer and Peter worked with me on my previous project, and by the end, we got so close that we became best friends. When they asked me to bring my team (which I didn't actually have), I called them to work with me. Spencer handles the costumes and Peter does makeup and hair. I couldn't ask for better people.

heading to my room to take a shower

After the shower, I braid my hair, put on jeans, grab my phone, and open Instagram. I see the notifications, including Paul asking to follow me. I approve and ask him to follow me back. It's 7:50 PM when I hear a knock on my room door. I open it and see Paul wearing a shirt with a shamrock.

"I can't believe you're wearing an Irish shirt!" I laugh after greeting him. "I didn't know it was going to be themed."

"I'm proud of my roots." He leans against the doorframe. "You look beautiful."

"Thanks! Shall we go?"

At the restaurant, we order wine and our conversation flows really well. We talk about our work, our lives outside of the set, and what we plan to do after filming wraps up.

"Do you have anyone in LA?" That question catches me off guard.

"No, but if I did, they wouldn't be too happy about this dinner." I laugh to lighten the mood. "What about you? Do you have anyone?"

"No, with this crazy schedule, sometimes that part gets put aside. But there's something about you that drew me in. Sorry if I'm being too forward, but this has never happened to me before." I'm at a loss for words, but I'm sure I'm blushing. "I'd like to spend more time with you."

"My last relationship was rocky. We broke up a year ago, and I had issues with him. I can be a bit defensive sometimes. But it feels like we've known each other for a while. I have a good feeling about you. The filming starts in two days, but we can meet up when we have some free time." That's all I can come up with; I try not to overthink it.

"I'm definitely going to make time for you." He smiles. "Don't worry about the rest, we all have a past."

The restaurant was at the end of the street from our hotel, so we walked back. He lit a cigarette and the city was pleasantly cool.

"Do you travel a lot?" He try to keep the conversation going. "I saw photos of your travels; you were in Thailand recently, right?"

"I love experiencing new cultures. Nothing excites me more than that. Sometimes work gets in the way, but I try to stay organized." We reached the hotel, took the elevator up to our hallway, and stopped in front of my room. I turned to open the door, but he gently took my hand and turned me towards him.

"Sorry if I'm rushing things, but I don't even understand what's happening here. You fascinate me." He moved closer, and we were so close I almost forgot how to breathe. "Can I?" As he moved even closer, leaving no space, I nodded and he kissed me.

It was a slow kiss, the kind that takes your breath away. He held my neck gently, pressing me against the closed door, and it felt like we were about to combust. He pulled back and looked into my eyes. "That was better than I imagined."

"Thanks for tonight. Can I have your number? Just in case I need to check if you got hit by any cinematic swords." I laugh briefly, still dazed by what just happened. He put his number in my phone. "I need to go, I have an early start tomorrow, but I loved our dinner tonight. I'll message you, or maybe you can knock on my door." We said our goodbyes and I watched him walk into his room.

After I was in bed, I found myself thinking about how crazy this all was. Did that really happen? I opened my messaging app, searched for his contact, and sent:

sun

I didn't wait for a reply and went to sleep.
