10. Her Birthday

As Yn's 18th birthday approached, her grandparents, who she lived with, started making secret plans to celebrate. They wanted to make it a special day for her.

One day, while Yn was studying, her grandmother came into the room with a mysterious smile. "Yn, dear, we're having a small family gathering on your birthday. Just close relatives and a few friends."

Yn's curiosity was piqued. "Which friends, Grandma?"

Her grandmother hesitated, "Oh, just Lisa, and a few others. You'll see."

Yn's mind started racing. Who could the others be?

On the morning of her birthday, Yn woke up to find her grandparents smiling at her, holding a big banner that read "Happy 18th Birthday Yn!"

"Surprise!" they exclaimed, as her aunts, uncles, and cousins poured into the room, shouting "Happy Birthday!"

As she hugged her relatives, Yn noticed a few familiar faces in the crowd - Jimin, Jungkook, Jin, Namjoon, Suga, J-Hope, and Taehyung. She couldn't believe it!

Lisa ran up to her, grinning. "Happy birthday, girl! I'm so glad I could make it."

Yn's eyes widened as she took in the scene. This was definitely a surprise she wouldn't forget.

But as she looked around, she couldn't help but notice Jimin, standing a little apart from the others, watching her with a quiet smile. She felt a flutter in her chest, and quickly looked away...

After the family gathering, everyone said their goodbyes and left, except for Jimin, Jungkook, their friends, and Lisa. Yn's grandparents smiled knowingly and excused themselves, leaving the young group alone.

The remaining friends chatted and laughed, enjoying each other's company. Yn felt a sense of comfort and belonging with this group.

As they sat in the living room, Jimin turned to Yn and said, "We got you a small gift. Happy birthday."

Yn's eyes widened as Jimin handed her a beautifully wrapped box. She opened it to find a stunning silver necklace with a tiny crystal pendant.

"Wow, it's beautiful!" Yn exclaimed.

Jungkook grinned. "We thought you'd like it."

Lisa nodded in agreement. "Yeah, we all pitched in to get it for you."

Yn's heart swelled with gratitude. "Thank you all so much. This means a lot to me."

As they continued to chat, Yn found herself stealing glances at Jimin, who was sitting next to her. She couldn't help but notice the way his eyes sparkled when he laughed, or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck.

Jimin, too, was aware of Yn's gaze, and he couldn't help but feel a flutter in his chest. He looked away, trying to focus on the conversation, but his eyes kept drifting back to Yn...

As the conversation flowed, Yn excused herself, feeling a sudden need for some fresh air. "I'll be right back, I'm just going to step outside for a minute," she said, getting up from the couch.

Jimin, sensing something, got up too. "I'll join you," he said, following her to the terrace.

The cool evening air enveloped them as they stood at the railing, looking out at the stars. Yn felt a sense of peace wash over her.

Jimin reached out and gently took her hand, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "Yn, I'm glad we're friends," he said, his voice low and sincere.

Yn's heart skipped a beat as she nodded, her hand still in his.

As they stood there, the pendant around her neck began to glow, filling with a soft, pulsing light. Yn gasped, surprised, and Jimin's eyes widened in wonder.

"What's happening?" Yn asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jimin shook his head, his eyes fixed on the pendant. "I don't know, but I think it's trying to tell us something."

The light grew brighter, illuminating their faces. Yn felt a strange energy building up inside her, as if the pendant was awakening a part of her she never knew existed.

Suddenly, the light vanished, leaving Yn and Jimin standing in silence, hands still clasped together. They looked at each other, both of them wondering what had just happened...
