It's been two days since I've been in this cell–or preferably lounge room–and it's not as bad as I thought.
Silverclaw feeds me take out, I don't know if he is lazy or can't cook, but I appreciate the nutrients he gave me. He took my phone away when I tried to contact Eve, who was ripping her hair out from being worried about me. I got my phone back, though. He probably set something in my phone because I can't share my location now. At least I can contact the outside.
My parents were worried too, but I assured them that I am alright, as much so they still asked if I had an interest in any of my female colleagues to 'get a wife'. Well, too bad that I'm living my best life alone.
Today, in particular, I got bored. I want to eat something other than take out Silverclaw feed me. It's all junk for me. I remember that Mark tried to lockpick with a paperclip, and it worked, I did have one right in my pocket.
I twist the paperclip and try to fiddle on the lock of the door. Silverclaw didn't use his intelligence to make the door electric and such, but that serves me well.
The lock clicked, and the door opened–I did it–I opened the door quietly and sneaked out. The place was still how it looked before, but the kitchen was all filled with take out boxes. Geez, he can't cook, or is he just lazy??
I made it to the kitchen island and ducked down. The sound of metal clanking echoes from a room. That's probably the workspace he invents his machines.
As I was right, Silverclaw came out of the room. I hid just in time behind the island and kept quiet. His footsteps fade away as he disappears to his own room.
Once he was gone, I got up and scanned the situation in his kitchen, a mess and no signs of dirty pans. I knew there was no way out since I couldn't claw out the metal doors that close the place. Well, I guess I have to help him since he didn't torture me or whatsoever…
I threw out all the boxes that filled the kitchen island and cleaned it. I can finally see the black and white ceramic that decorated the island. I checked the fridge and–oh good–the fridge is filled, fresh, but untouched.
He can't cook…
I felt disappointed in Silverclaw, he lives alone yet can't cook? That's bad. I decided he needed to eat something other than take out.
I took out the vegetables and chicken from the fridge and put them on the counter. Vitamins and proteins are on the menu today, with no exceptions.
Taking out a big pan and turning on the stove, I try to make less noise when cooking to not alert him in his room. Using the limited spices in the kitchen, I manage to make some decent food that actually tastes good. Now I'm questioning myself if Silverclaw would actually like my cooking or if he would just put me in a more highly secure cell…
"What is that?" A sudden deep voice pierced the sound of vegetables sizzling on the pan, I flinched from it.
"It's food, what els-" I cut myself off once I turned my head around, I must've forgotten I wasn't alone…
Silverclaw–or the guy behind the mask–was standing behind me. He only wore grey sweatpants, and his black hair is damp. He must've taken a shower. Without his armor and shirt, I could see his physique clearly; towering figure with Warm Beige tone and quite muscular with a six-pack
Damn…I might need his workout routine.
I keep my gaze onto his face to not look further down and - wow… his green eyes light up more without his hood and chiseled jawline? He would've been the idol of all girls in the city.
"Uhm…just some food from some ingredients from the fridge." I finally spoke out, turning my attention back towards the now cooked food and plate it on two plates.
"Oh, it smells delicious…" I heard him mutter, coming closer to have a taste, but I slap his hand away without thinking.
He looked at me in surprise, and I was shocked at what I did. To not plummet to embarrassment, I stood my ground and put my hands on my hips.
"You're not eating until you put on a shirt." I commanded, I didn't mean to sound commanding, but that was too late to take it back now.
"I can wear whatever I want." He tried to retort back.
"Not with me, put on a shirt now, or I won't give you this food." No way I was scolding him…the almighty Silverclaw is being scolded by an ordinary office worker, what is going on??
He stared at me in shock, I could've sworn I heard a huff before he went back to his room–possibly grabbing a shirt.
I let out a breath that I didn't realize I was holding, and my body nearly stumbled back from the shock and relief I felt. How did I manage to hold my ground? Did he purposely listen to let my guard down? What's going on??
I didn't want to go much further on scolding him anymore. I place his plate on the kitchen island, and I retreat back to the 'cell' with my own plate and eat inside. I was a bit shaken up by the encounter I had with him, but at least I was-
A knock on the door snapped me back from my thoughts, the door creaked open, and Silverclaw poked his head inside. Quite the surprise that made me flinch even though he did nothing.
"Hey…can you eat with me?" He asked me, his voice calm and soft yet still deep.
I was surprised–well, stunned–by his offer to eat with him. There's no way he would, right? He might be planning to kill me for escaping…or cooking in his kitchen and worse-
"It's not that I will do anything to you, I like your cooking." He admitted.
He…likes my cooking?
A million things race through my mind, but I had to make a decision.
"Okay, I'll eat with you."
