03. PROOF

It wasn't long until the entire football team had caught wind of Nagi's unexpected relationship.

Isagi, to your utter demise, had overheard Nagi and Reo talking about you during the previous practice, who then decided to go to you to confirm it the next morning. You had heard a knock on your door, and you opened it to find your stressed-out older cousin.

"You're dating Nagi?!" Isagi had exclaimed on your doorstep.

".....No." You shakily replied, your face breaking into a cold sweat.

"Don't lie."

"...Yes."

"Eh- Since when?"

"Since yesterday..." You lowered your head, staring down to your bare feet. "I'm sorry, Yoichi. I was going to tell you, but it happened so fast."

"You don't have to apologize." He shook his head, crossing his arms. "I will kill him if he tries anything, though."

"Please don't!"

And since Isagi had a fat mouth, he told Bachira. And because Bachira had an even fatter mouth, he blabbed to the entire team. Now the Neo Egoist League sat in the changing rooms following their latest practice, all bugging Nagi about the new development in his love life.

"How did you bag a girl?" Otoya laughed. "Mr. I-don't-understand-social-cues over here?"

"She asked me out." Nagi replied, clicking away on his video games. He payed no mind to the twenty or so boys that lounged about in the locker room, all changing and clamoring about the news.

"Really? Girls can do that?" Raichi grumbled.

"Hah! You're just pissed nobody's asked you out!" Karasu quipped, earring a variety of cuss words being flung his way by Raichi.

"Yeah, but you're already dating?" Chigiri asked, sweeping his hair over his shoulder. "How long have you been talking before then?"

"About five minutes. But we've been dating for two days, so does that count?" Nagi puzzled.

"No!"

Reo sighed. "I told you guys, he's clueless about women. If some chick flashed her breasts at him, he probably wouldn't know what they are. Plus, I doubt he cares."

"I know what boobs are, Reo." Nagi muttered. "She has nice ones..."

"I mean, L/n Y/n is pretty attractive. She doesn't really talk, though." Kunigami commented. "What confuses me is why she asked you out."

"True, she's out of your league." Hiori joked.

"Seriously, I doubt this ever happened." Shidou suddenly spoke up, slinging his shirt over his shoulder. "Come on, look at Nagi. You think women would talk to him? L/n Y/n, for that matter? He's a bum!"

"Nagi is perfectly attractive." Reo rebutted.

"Ayo?" Karasu smirked.

"Not like that!" Reo glared.

"Still. I'm willing to bet that hottie didn't even look your way, and you're trolling us." Shidou grinned.

"You guys are talking about my cousin, you know." Isagi butted in with an uncharacteristic glare. The majority of the team shut their mouths.

"Yuck, does that mean we're crushing on Isagi's gene pool by extension?" Otoya laughed.

"What do you mean, we? She's my girlfriend. I am not dating Isagi." Nagi shook his head. "Also, I most definitely am dating Y/n."
