Mated to the Alpha King
The amount of recommendations I saw for this story was astronomical. But unfortunately, I think this raised my expectations too high. Please note that the author has the first 28 chapters posted as a "sample", but gives away too much if they want to make this lucrative. So a heads up, if you do decide to read, just know you'll be blue-balled - but personally, I can live without it.
The inconsistencies of characters were infuriating and gave me whiplash as well as a lack of plot ever happening. It is simply four hours of the FMC and MC going:
FMC - "Oh does he like me? I have the hots for him."
MC - "She is mine. But I can not force her into this even though she says she wants this. I will ignore her words."
FMC - "I'm just a virgin. Also, I have a lot of questionable side 'friends' who are mostly male and are characterized like they're five."
No joke, it felt like a middle school journal of a 13-year-old girl lying on her bed and swinging her feet while giggling to herself. Just not my cup of tea and not enough depth to spend my time reading.
Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Can anyone comment and explain why they liked it so much? I can't be missing something here.
I apologize if I offended anyone. It may have to do with the fact that I am a full-ass woman and appreciate a tad more to my Wattpad reads and this could have been targeting the 12 to 16-year-old age group.
Again, if you've read the books, please comment on your thoughts. Or if you've any recommendations - please LMK - I have no idea where to find them these days.
