Damian and I take a much needed day off. "Babe, you deserve this day off. What do you want to do?" Damian asked. I take a minute to think. " What about a trip to the bookstore and the animal shelter?" I ask. " Ok, that sounds good! It's a day for you to relax and have fun." Damian says. We go to the animal shelter first. I know exactly what I'm looking for: a kitten. But not just any kitten: a black kitten. It takes a while, but Damian finally finds one. He holds it up. " OMG, she's perfect!!" I say excitedly. We pay the adoption fee and leave the shelter. On the way to the bookstore, both the kitten and I fall asleep.
