I wake up in the morning with severe back and stomach pain. I try everything to make it go away. Tylenol and ibuprofen, ice and heat packs. Nothing is working. Even Damian tries to help me figure out what's going on. Eventually the pain gets so bad that Damian has to take me to the emergency room. Once we're in the emergency room, I give Damian my phone. "Text my parents and the girls. Let them know I'm at the hospital." I tense up from anxiety. Damian calms me down and says:"Babe, it's gonna be ok. We're going to figure out what's wrong." 5 minutes later, I'm taken back to an exam room. As the nurse takes my vitals, I explain what's going on. I'm taken to an X-ray room. They take an X-ray of my back and spine. They also take a urine sample to make sure I don't have kidney stones. I'm taken back to the exam room. The doctor comes in a few minutes later. "We've ruled out kidney stones, scoliosis and a slipped disc. We're going to do a blood test to determine your hormone levels." A phlebotomist comes in to draw my blood. 45 minutes later, the doctor comes back in. "You have a high level of progesterone in your blood. You've had a cryptic pregnancy and are going into labor. A cryptic pregnancy means that your body didn't register the fact that you were pregnant." the doctor said. I'm overwhelmed and speechless. How could my body not register a pregnancy? The doctor does an ultrasound. Damian says:"I'll be right back, babe. I'm gonna call Adam Pearce and Triple H and tell them to find a new competitor for your opponent tomorrow night." Then he leaves the room. Once Damian gets back in the room, the doctor says,"I'm hearing three heartbeats. Let's get you ready to give birth and see how dilated you are." Triplets? We're having triplets? I take a deep breath. The doctor puts me in the stirrups. Damian comes over and holds my hand. "I'm so scared right now." I said. "I know, babe. But I'm not going anywhere. I'll be right here." The doctor said, "You're 8 centimeters dilated, but I can already see the head of the first triplet, so I need you to push." I squeeze Damian's hand and push. I bite my lip to keep from screaming in pain. This hurts 10 times worse than anything I've experienced in the ring. A little while later, I hear the first baby cry. I keep pushing. After 5 minutes of pushing, the doctor says, "Ok, I can see the head of the second baby. One more push, ok?" I push, and then I hear the cry of the second baby. "One more, babe. You got this." Damian says. I squeeze his hand tighter and push. After a little while, the doctor said," I can see the head now. One more push." I push, and then I hear the cry of the third baby. Thank God. I fall back on the bed. Damian goes over to cut the cords. "Well, babe, we have 3 beautiful girls. I'm so proud of you. You handled this like a champ." Damian says. We easily decided on their names: Selena May, Natalie Grace and Makenzie Iris. After a little bit of skin to skin contact, our girls are taken to the NICU. Damian and I are able to get some much needed sleep.
