as the rain poured down on the wet grass, Sally ran as fast as she could. she had no idea where she was, she didnt know where home was. she wasnt even 100% sure if she had a home. her belly grumbled, she was starving. she searched for food, but had no luck. she heard a twig snap behind her and immediatley started running at full speed. between life or death, she picked life. even if she had nothing to live for. she kept running, all that was heard was the sound of her hooves against the grass and mud, her heartbeating and her stomach grumbling. she was tired, but couldnt stop. having no memory of where she was, it was hard running through the woods. her messy, curly afro-like white hair was wet and fell over her eyes, making it difficult for her to see. her bad eyesight mixed with the dark of the night, made it even harrder to navigate around the woods. she tripped over something, probably a branch, and bashed her head on a rock. she felt the cold blood trickle down onto the ground, the wound burned. her vision became blurry as she heard someone running behind her. "n-no... p-p-please, leave m-me..." Sally muttered, trying to crawl to safety. before she could make it, she passed out. the person behind her looked down, the person was a woman. she had long, wavy hair that stuck to her face. she lifted up Sally and carried her away. when Sally woke up, she was in a warm, comfortable hut. the walls were beige, she was dry and on a bed. she rubbed her eyes and looked outside. the sun was shining and the wind was bristiling. the woman walked to Sally and gave a warm comforting smile. one that filled Sally with warmth. "glad youre finally awake, dear." the woman spoke, her voice sounded tired but happy. "where am i, and who are you?" Sally asked, more calm but still on edge. "call me Mother, you are in my home. would you like some soup, child?" Mother asked, the smell of vegetables filled Sallys nose, drool dripped out of her mouth without her even knowing. she was so hungry, shed eat herself at this point. "y-yes please..." Sally whimpered as she took the soup from Mother. the soup was warm and spicy, tasty. Sally look up at her and frowned, scared of what she could do to her. "please dont hurt me..." Sally whispered, mother turned around and chuckled. "hurt you? why would i ever hurt you, my dear?" mother laughed, Sally laughed with. she felt safe, taken care of, happy... for once, she knew what home was.
