A long forgotten Friend

A Fatefull Reunion

Echoes, Echoes of those I befriended. Echoes of friends that i once knew. Friends ranging from the King of knights and the knights of the round to the god of olympus. From the kindest saints to the twisted tyrants, From the wisest to the foolish. Those were all my friends, and i never regretted meeting any of them. And here I stand, with the Holy Grail in my hand. Standing in the exact same place i made my wish, the faithful wish that made my life into an adventure i could never forget.

" Hm? Have you returned from your adventures? Do tell who it was you have befriended this time."

Y/n: Nothing much, just befriended A Caster Variant of my old pal Gilgamesh. Although that version was a She rather than a He.

" And once again you've ended up into another reality, Same as the other realities you've journey too."

Y/n: Okay, How am I supposed to know what what reality i'm going to warp towards? Cause frankly I don't have control over that, only you do.

" And let me remind you i am a magical wish granting artifact, i do not control what reality ever you end up in! For all i know you could have ended up in another version of me with a different version of you going to make the same wish again!"

Y/n: ...How long was I gone this time?

" ...500 years, You were gone for 500 years."

Y/n: 500? *Sigh* at least it wasn't as long as last time. So, anyone try to make a wish on you again?

" Nope, they all ended up killing each other again. just when i thought someone else could make a wish, another survivor shows themselves and after a short conflict they both died. It really is frustrating that the only one that was successful enough to make a wish, was you."

Y/n: but you have to remember, i didn't have a servant. Heck, i don't even have super cool magic powers or advance weaponry back then! It was just me, my blade, and the techniques and skills i've learned from my master.

" *Sigh* I know, it's just... I'm so bored, whenever you go to your adventures again. And you usually take like 100 to a thousand years to come back and once you do, you get sucked into another adventure and i'm left with loneliness once again. It's just... I just want someone to talk to so I'll not lose my mind from the never ending mundane task of waiting for some group of mages to find me and to fight for the death just to make a wish on me. I just... I just don't want to be alone again"

Y/n: *Sigh* you're really that lonely, aren't you?

I couldn't help but chuckle at the Grail in my hand, so powerful and so benevolent. It was capable of granting any wish as long it's in its power and yet, it wasn't able to wish for a friend or company to keep it entertain.

Y/n: So then Ms. Grail, what do you think my next adventure will be?

" I'm not sure, i don't have clairvoyance or any type of powers to see in the future. All i know is that once you're gone i'll be lonely once again and no one will ever love me!"

Oh yeah, kind of forgot that the Grail became... How should i put this? Clingy, after spending a few or so millennia with me. Was it millennia Or was it eons? I can't remember, it has been so long and i think my memories are fading. I don't even remember what my family looks like, only the memories of those I befriended in the travels i've made are still fresh in my mind. Anyway, after comforting a crying holy relic. It was time for me to set on another journey.

" Oh Come On!! It Hasn't BEEN an hour since you've got back and your Going on to another adventure!"
