Gyeong-su left the door open, allowing it to slam into her, which caused her to start cursing at him.
"Guys, the door." I-Sak whispered.
With Na-Yeon and Gyeong-su commanding everyone's attention, Su-Hyeok realized he was the only one who could prevent the door from slamming shut. He moved quickly to hold it in place.
Seeing Su-Hyeok struggle to hold the door alone, and sensing his exhaustion, I decided to lend a hand.
We eased our grip on the door, allowing it to rest gently against our bodies.
Suddenly, the door opened.
It was our gym teacher.
"Are you guys, okay?" he asked.
A few of us nodded in response, and he sighed.
"What about you? You weren't bitten?" Gyeong-su asked, closing the distance between them.
"No, of course not. I'm alright. Hey guys, let's block the doors first,"
His act was unconvincing. A careful examination revealed a telltale bite mark on his arm.
As On-jo and I-Sak moved to assist the others, I grabbed their wrists to halt them. Turning to me in confusion, they asked if everything is okay. I shook my head and gestured towards Coach Kang's arm, where a clear bite mark was visible.
"Coach Kang," On-jo began, her voice filled with disbelief after our shocking discovery.
"Your arm," On-jo finished, her voice filled with accusation and fear.
He yelled at us; his voice filled with rage.
"What are you doing? Come help us!" he shouted; his voice filled with urgency.
You have a bitemark on your arm!" I said coldly, my voice dripping with accusation.
The room fell silent.
"What...?" a whisper escaped someone's lips, filled with disbelief and fear.
"I-I wasn't bitten," Coach Kang stammered, his eyes darting away from the bite mark on his arm.
"No, no...I...I wasn't bitten," he stammered, his face flushing as he frantically tried to conceal the bite mark beneath his jacket.
"But it's a bite mark," On-jo insisted, her voice steady in the face of the coach's obvious deception.
"I said it isn't. Don't talk back to me, okay?" Coach Kang snapped, his voice rising in anger.
"It looks like you were really bitten," I-Sak stated
"Then why are you hiding it? Show it to us!" I demanded, my voice cold and filled with anger as I took a step forward, closing the distance between us.
"Get out," I said coldly, my voice firm and unwavering.
"What?" Coach Kang replied, his voice laced with confusion and defiance.
"Get out of here immediately!" I demanded, my voice filled with anger and authority.
"You want me to go out there?" He pointed to the hallway, his laughter mocking as if he thought we were joking.
'Yes, please get out,' "I said
After everything I've done to get here, you want me to leave?!"
"You've been bitten. Go! Now!" On-Jo insisted.
"Get out now!" I-Sak shouted, echoing her words.
"You think you can yell at me like that? You little—Get over here!" he roared.
"He stepped towards me as I stepped forward too but On-Jo and I-Sak pulled me back."
"Now!" the coach barked.
"You won't come? Hey!" He quickened his pace towards me.
"Hey!" Su-Hyeok shouted, cutting through the tension.
The other guys had to hold him back.
"Stop! Stop it!"
"Wait, wait, wait. STAY Back."
Coach Kang's nose gushed, and he frantically wiped away the blood.
"Let go of me!" Su-Hyeok demanded.
"She can protect herself," Wu-Jin told Su-Hyeok.
"If Nam-Ra were here instead of Yn, would you still do that?" Su-Hyeok asked Wu-Jin.
I dashed to the coach, who was turned away, and smacked the back of his head with a nearby backpack.
He whirled around, his gaze locking onto mine as I stood still.
"You fucking bitch" He yelled.
Watch it!" Su-Hyeok shouted, trying to get to Coach Kang.
He came to slap me as Su-Hyeok was about to get out of the guys' grip to help me, but then coach Kang just fell to the ground.
As everyone started talking at the same time, coach Kang started twitching.
His bones snapped and cracked.
"Shit" I yelled."Get him out of here now! Hurry!" Na-Yeon shrieked in panic.
he's transforming!"
Coach Kang continued twisting his body in unimaginable ways while his bones cracked.
Get him out of here! Now!" Na-Yeon screamed, her hands clamped over her ears.
Coach Kang....or the more zombie version of him started growling and he twitched even more.
A horrifying transformation completed, he launched himself at one of the girls, biting down with savage force.
Her scream pierced the air as Dae-Su desperately struggled to pry the creature off her.
Then he threw Kang to one of the shelves
"Dae-Su, please...I'm scared. I don't want to die," she sobbed, her voice trembling.
Then the coach stood up again and charged at me this time.
I hadn't seen this coming, and he was so fast.
"Just as he was about to reach me, Su-Hyeok yanked me out of the way."
Na-Yeon screamed on.
"Stop him! Get him out!"
Now the coach was trying to get to me.
I backed away quickly and in less than a second Su-Hyeok was standing in front of me, shielding me with his own body.
He landed a powerful punch to the coach-zombie's face, sending it crashing to the ground as it continued its feral growls.
As he got up again, Cheong-San took a desk to protect himself and ran at the coach before pressing him against the wall.
Just as Coach Kang was about to overpower Cheong-San He threw himself into the desk and the
two of them held the coach there, making him unable to escape., Gyeong-su arrived to help.
Min-Ji, the bitten girl, continued.
"I don't want to die...help me," she sobbed, blood trickling from the corner of her mouth.
