A week of separation had finally passed, and Sarang and her friends reunited with their unnies over lunch. As they entered the cafeteria, Jiyoon waved at them signaling them to join the group. Settling onto the bench, Sarang's eyes widened in surprise by seeing the person new to their group - her newly made crush was sitting across from her, their gazes met for a fleeting instant. Jeemin looked at her and realized that she's that girl who bumped into her twice last week.An awkward silence descended between them, only the conversation from nearby tables can be heard.
Mai broke the silence by clearing her throat, her voice bright and cheerful as she introduced the junior friends and Jeemin to each other. "Everyone, this is Jeemin, our new friend I told you about," she said with excitement and a warm smile placed on her pretty face. Jeemin's eyes sparkled with friendly curiosity as she greeted the younger girls, her gaze lingering on Sarang for a moment before moving on.
Lost in thought, Sarang's mind whispered a single, stunned phrase:
"so her name is Jeemin "
And then, as if drawn by an unseen force, her eyes unintentionally met Jeemin's once more - her heart skipped a beat before she hastily looked away. But the eye contact left no impact on the older girl.
During lunchtime Sarang was all quiet and lost in her own world. She was caught smiling to her self by Jiyoon but she just let it go. Her mind a thousand miles away was thinking of her chances of getting closed with her Jeemin. Koko and Saebi exchanged concerned glances with each other, sensing the unusual stillness from their talkative friend. Mai's inquiring gaze met Sarang's, asking her what's wrong but she brushed it off with a reassuring smile that she's okay
The group split into two after lunch, heading towards their respective classes. But as they walked, Sarang's suppressed excitement burst forth in a excited dance, her feet moving to a rhythm only she could hear.
Her friends' confusion gave way to curiosity, and jungeun asked, "What's gotten into you?" Sarang's face lit up with a radiant grin, "Guys, the new friend we met? Jeemin? She's the one I've had a crush on!" The words left her friends stunned, yet thrilled, at the chances of Sarang potentially closing the distance between her and Jeemin."I'm so happy for you Sarang" said Saebi with a crying but happy expression.
"But Koko's expression clouded with concern, ''I don't know guys... I think Jeemin might be out of Sarang's reach. She seems so cold-hearted".Koko's words hung in the air, giving a gentle warning to Sarang's blossoming hopes. Because she was worried about her bestie and her feelings.
The three of them exchanged glances, unsure if Koko's reservations were warranted or she's just overthinking but Sarang remembered how Jeemin treated her when she bumped into her. She felt sad but nothing can stop her from loving Jeemin, she thought to herself .
When they were in class all she could think about was Jeemin.
Does she hates me ?
Does she already have someone?
(TIME SKIP TO THE NIGHT)
Tired from all day, Sarang lazily jumped into her bed and was about to sleep, when her phone buzzed, signaling a new notification. She reached for her device on the nightstand next to her bed and discovered she had been added to a group chat on Instagram created by Jiyoon. Her heart skipped a beat as she scrolled through the member list, her eyes locking onto a familiar name - jeem1nb4ng.
She checked as their were no messages send by anyone yet so she decided to stalk Jeemin's account,she accidentally liked a post while scrolling through, she mentally cursed herself for being not careful but
Why are you scolding yourself Sarang? We're friends now we can follow each other and like each other's posts
She thought and laughing at her stupidity

Sarang waited for an hour to get reply but she didn't get any response. She felt disappointed but decided to sleep.
(NEXT DAY)
The next morning, Sarang arrived at school with eager anticipation, her heart racing at the prospect of seeing Jeemin again. As she joined her friends at the entrance, she greeted everyone with a bright smile, saving her warmest welcome for Jeemin. ''Hi Jeemin, how are you?'' she asked, her enthusiasm unmistakable. However, Jeemin's dry response of ''fine" showed that she has no interest in this gorgeous girl,
Does she treats everyone like that or it's she just hates me?
The awkward silence fell between them once more. Sarang's smile faltered, and her friends couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for her.
Jiyoon and Mai had already been informed about Sarang's crush on Jeemin by Saebi, Koko and Jungeun, and they too had witnessed Sarang's sad expressions. To ease the awkwardness, Koko suggested, "Let's head to class, we're going to be late!" The group divided into two again, and as they walked, Sarang's friends tried to comfort her sensing her disappointment."hey it's gonna be okay Sarang, I think she needs some time to be closed with everyone" Koko explained giving her sad like a puppy friend some hope. Saebi and Jungeun also comforted her that one day she's gonna be loved back by her Jeemin
As the days turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, there was no clear progress in their relationship. Despite Sarang's persistent efforts to shorten the gap between them, Jeemin's behavior towards her remained just and only friendly but distant.She treated Sarang like other normal friends but with a little bit coldness seems like she already knew something. Sarang would often initiate conversations, inquiring about Jeemin's interests and sharing her own, hoping to make the deeper connection between them. She would also go out of her way to show Jeemin affection, but every time she just got friendzoned. Her friends helped her a lot and told her to not be sad but Jeemin's has no intentions to give her a chance
