As the 7:00 AM alarm pierced the air, it gently disturbed the peaceful drowsiness of the girl, who was laying sleeping in her bed. After a brief pause, she switched off the alarm and rose, looking remarkably refreshed, as if she had not just awakened from an eight-hour sleep. Her face still radiated an ethereal beauty. This morning felt different, with an almost palpable sense of optimism, as if the universe was aligning in her favor. A delicate, knowing smile hovered on her lips, fueled by the prospect of seeing her recent crush at school.

Ryu Sarang, a  17 years old young girl of exceptional charm and beauty, radiated warmth and kindness, inspiring admiration from her peers. Her striking appearance and gentle attitude had solidified her position as a beloved figure in school. With a selfless spirit, Sarang consistently demonstrated a deep concern for those around her, providing comfort and support whenever needed.

Her heart longed for a love that would surpass her wildest dreams, a connection that would be mirrored by her soulmate. She aspired to build a life filled with laughter and happiness with that special person.

However the universe had other plans in store for her, setting the stage for a journey that would test the depths of her heart

Sarang donned her uniform and applied light makeup, hoping to make a good impression in case she caught the eye of that charming girl. After breakfast, she headed to school, where her friends greeted her with concern. "Sarang, how's your preparation for today's exam?" Jungeun asked. Sarang's face fell as she realized her mistake. "I'm doomed! I completely forgot about the exam!" she exclaimed, shocked and worried. Her friends sighed in unison, "Are you kidding me? How could you forget about the exam?" Koko asked, her tone worried and slightly annoyed. Jungeun teased, "I bet it's because you were too busy thinking about your crush all night!" Sarang's embarrassment led her to playfully hit Jungeun on the shoulder. She knew arguing was useless, as her friends were right about her think of her crush all night but she was just kidding about forgetting about her exam. As they continued to tease her,the luck was on her side, and the bell rang, signaling the start of the exam.

ON THE OTHER HAND

Jeemin was making her way to class alone when a soft tap on her shoulder interrupted her steps. She turned to see her two friends flashing warm smiles. "Let's hurry, we don't want to miss the start of class!" Mai said, her voice laced with a sense of urgency as she playfully pulled her friends along.

After the exam, Sarang, Koko, Saebi, and Jungeun gathered in the corridor, making a plan for Sarang to hit on her crush. " I think you should give her some sweets and write her letters" Saebi, the youngest, explained. "That way, she'll definitely want to get to know you."

Jungeun teased, "Oh, Saebi's an expert  now!" Koko started giving Jungeun a warning look to not tease her little girlfriend to which Jungeun responded with , "Defending your girlfriend?" Teased Jungeun,"Yes, I am!" "But I won't stop cause she's also my friend not only your girlfriend" The friends continued bickering until Sarang spoke up with a tired expression, "Enough! You're here to help me, not fight." After two hours of discussion, Sarang finally agreed to Saebi's plan

NEXT DAY

Jeemin opened her locker to find a mysterious chocolate inside. She looked around curiously to see who put it in her , but there was no one in sight. Not wanting to eat something that didn't belong to her, she decided to give that chocolate to a student passing by. She took her belongings from the locker and shrugged off the incident, thinking it was no big deal.

However, someone was hiding behind the lockers, disappointed and heartbroken. Sarang had left the room, pouting, after witnessing Jeemin giving away the chocolate.

Koko noticed Sarang's distress and asked, "What happened?" Sarang replied, "She gave it to someone else." Her friends felt sorry for her and tried to comfort her.

Sarang's determination shone through despite her sadness. "I won't give up until she becomes mine." Her friends laughed at her bravery and reassured her, "you'll always have us beside you no matter what "

The next day, Sarang spotted Jeemin walking down the hallway and plotted a plan inside her head. Jeemin, lost in thought, didn't notice Sarang intentionally bumping into her. As Jeemin tried to steady herself, the gravity had other plans for them. She accidentally pulled Sarang into a fall, spilling coffee that was in jeemin's hand all over them.

Time seemed to freeze as they found themselves on the floor, as fate would have it, Jeemin found herself on top of Sarang, their faces inches apart. Sarang's gaze was transfixed by Jeemin's mesmerizing beauty. Her heart skipped a beat as she took in the sight of Jeemin's face, her sharp jawline, and her full lips, slightly parted in surprise.

But what truly mesmerized Sarang was the tiny mole on Jeemin's chin, like a delicate freckle enhancing her perfection.

Jeemin's eyes, like deep pools of calmness, stared back at Sarang, their gazes intertwining. Sarang's breath caught in her throat as she struggled to look away, her heart racing with an unfamiliar excitement.

For a fleeting instant, the world around them melted away, leaving only the gentle pressure of Jeemin's body on hers, the soft whisper of their ragged breathing, and the unspoken connection that sparked between them.

Sarang quickly got up, pushed Jeemin away, and began apologizing profusely for the intentional collision. She offered her hand to help Jeemin up, but Jeemin rejected her and stood up alone, expressionless. Sarang suggested they go to the washroom to clean up, hoping to spark a conversation with her crush. However, Jeemin ignored her and walked away.

Sarang called out, "At least tell me your name!" but received no response. Hurt by Jeemin's indifference and her own unmet expectations, Sarang thought,

Cold

A week went by, and Sarang tried every tactic to get closer to her crush, Jeemin. She showered her with attention, offering food and drinks, writing heartfelt letters. However, Jeemin remained unchanged, not even sparing a glance at Sarang.

Despite Sarang's best efforts, Jeemin didn't change even a bit. Sarang's attempts at connection were met with a wall of silence, leaving her feelings unacknowledged.

Sarang's tried her best in every way, but Jeemin's lack of response left her wondering if she was fighting a losing battle. Had Sarang misread the situation entirely, or was Jeemin simply not interested?
