That Woman had shook me, and sent questions running through my mind, I should have been watching Maddie. Why wasn't I watching her. From that moment on my eyes were on Maddie and I could feel the eyes of that horrid woman boring into the back of my head but I carried on watching Maddie. When I got to lunch time I called Maddie to the rug and we sat and ate lunch, she babbled on about the new friend she had made, but I caught on half way with what Maddie had been saying, the young girl had asked Maddie round her house. I hated to break it to Maddie but I wasn't happy with that, there was something about that woman I really didn't like. She looked at Maddie like she was a freshly cooked sponge cake sliced ready to eat. It made me shudder.
Maddie kept begging and begging, eventually I gave in and texted our Mum, Mum replied much to my dismay saying Maddie could go, so I suppose I had to let her. I took Maddie's hand and spoke to the Woman "Hello, Maddie said that you had invited her for a sleepover?" The Woman say in a rather creepy voice "Yes, I did now leave her with me for the rest of the day, I will take care of her and my daughter Molly and my name is Chantelle."
I felt lost without Maddie on the way home and I couldn't stop thinking about her hoping she was okay, if she wasn't I would never forgive myself. She was my life, as I only had one other adopted sibling Joseph who had now moved on into the outside world and very rarely visited.
At home my Mum noticed my down beat actions and she asked me what was wrong I told her I wasn't happy with Maddie going round Molly's and Chantelles's. My Mum replied with "You should of told me" I instantly got annoyed with this and stormed off feeling very fragile. I wasn't in the mood for Mum's tired answers she never seemed to answer properly it was always with one eye open or very basic. The last time we had a proper talk must have been when Joseph was at home and she didn't work.
There we go ending on a emotional note! hope you all liked this Chapter! The next chapter you find out more about what life was like before Maddie and when Maddie was really young.xxx//
