Life with Madaline Amy

' Sophie, Sophie, wake up!' I heard Joseph call my name from downstairs, i groggily called out 'What? You just woke me!'

'I have something to show you!' I pushed my legs off the bed and forced myself into action, i ran down the stairs trying to keep my eyes open, I had had a bg nights sleep and i was sure i had dark bags under my eyes. I was sure it was because my Mum was heavily pregnant with a new baby and we didn't know if she would survive it. 'Close your eyes quick Soph' whispered Joseph .

He opened the door and I opened my eyes, there in front of me was my Mum holding the most beautiful baby in her arms I had ever seen! He or she had gorgeous blue eyes, little sprouts of white blonde hair, rosy red cheeks and the baby's eyes half shut. 'Do you like her? I named her Madaline Amy!' Mums eyes were shining she was so proud of the stunning baby she was practically estatic.

'Of course i do! She is my new baby sister! and she is some what the cutest, prettiest baby i have ever seen!' I rushed.

'Oh Darling i am so glad! She didn't hurt one bit like they said! She was easy compared with you, goodness, the baby is almost a star already!' Mum cried out in delight.

My Mum has a disease that sometimes makes her a little crazy and she does things she isn't meant to, for example she once randomly adopted a child and went through all the proccesses just because she felt like it and afterwards didn't even remember she had done it and thought a stranger was in the house. This happens alot but i was used to it. Joseph was the one we adopted and even he has learnt to get used to it after the years and years he has been here.'

3 years later...

Maddie was now three and a right sweet heart she had half the pre school children staring at her through registration, even they recognised her beaty inside and out. Maddie was a natural star, she made my Mum so proud. I wished I had been like that. I knew I hadn't and it was no use pretending, Mum was only ever proud because of Maddie and Joseph (Our adopted Brother.) Whatever my Mum thought of me life was perfect because of my other siblings and I wasn't going to be the one to change that.
