Lately, coffee time in the cafeteria has become one of the most productive periods in my life.

Although the calories don't align with my vibe, rest assured it's worth it.

We were once black and white, but college has transformed us into various shades of grey.

Our daily routine consists of lectures and clinical postings by day, followed by an hour of chatting in the cafeteria.
In the evenings, we disperse to either the library or the basketball court. However, I find solace in neither the library's silence nor the court's chaos, so I often retreat to my room to recharge.

"But who did it?" I was a little late to the coffee session today.

These guys were having a serious conversation. "What happened?" I asked as I had been zoning out clearly for these days and not getting what was going on here.

Aze was sitting at the corner table, gazing into the distance.

"Can anybody tell me what happened?" I repeated as I was getting anxious.

Aze, Maggy, and Max were so tense over there... and I couldn't understand why.

"Where are James and Jona?" I asked Max.

"In the library."

"Okay, what's happening here?"

"Someone gave Aze's name for the candidate for the post of council representative, and he is not interested."-Max

"Oh, then why did he give it?"

"He didn't; someone else did... with his signature."

"Oh, gross. Who is that?"

He gave me a grimy look. So I guessed nobody knew. I was confused whether I should go and talk to him.

"I am not doing it; that's what I know," he said seriously.

"The list is published, and even the dates are scheduled. You might have to go and meet Dean Mam," Maggy told him in a low voice like it's better not to.
Aze had never met Dean Mam before, and we all thought he wouldn't dare to...
Mam is a bit too much for Aze. But not for me, because we are family friends.

"Maybe I can talk to her," I told him, though I was not sure.

The dilemma of speaking to senior professionals in the medical field is a bit confusing from the outside. But a safer side is always at a distance here.

"No, I will talk... maybe I know who did it..." He went to meet Mam.

"He is serious, right?" I asked Max.

"He seriously is."

We went along with him, Maggy asked me to stay with him and reroute for the usual basketball practice with Max.

I waited for him in front of the  Dean's chamber.
I was trying not to get concerned. Aze despite that 6'4, is so soft and fragile. A part of him always appears to be lacking. And he covers himself hidden under the wings. A perfect introvert with a charming attitude.

Finally, He came out and gave me a faint look.

"All good?" He looked at me but remained silent. I figured it was best not to ask.

"Where are they?"

"Who? Oh, Maggy and Max... went for Basketball."

"Hmm," he nodded.

"Is everything okay?" I asked, as you all know by now. I can't keep my mouth shut.

"Yes." He replied.

" Did you request to withdraw the nomination?"

"No."

"Huh! Fine... Then... you are participating?"

"Yup, let's go for it, Fenn," he told in a feeble voice

"Yeah! Why not?" I was giggling and dancing,
barely containing my excitement. Something was brewing. He looks like a different after the talk with mam. His eyes look a little cloudy. I tried not to be too obvious.

"We will do it," I told him, holding his hand

"We will," he sighed.

I held his hand tight and strong.
"We will."
