"Wake up," Aze slowly opened his eyes as he felt a gentle poke on his shoulder.
It was Lily, standing beside his bed with a concerned look on her face. "You have to eat something, remember?" she reminded him.
Okay, we'll come down," Aze replied, still feeling a bit groggy from being woken up.
"Better hurry, it's already midnight," Lily said before leaving the room.
Aze glanced over at Fenn, who was still fast asleep, her hand resting gently in his.
He hesitated to wake her, not wanting to disturb her peaceful slumber. Her sleeping face was captivating, exuding a sense of calm and tranquility that Aze found comforting.
He couldn't help but smile as he watched her sleep so peacefully.
"Are you coming or not" It's Lily again. "Oh yes," He got up, shaking off the sleep.
As he went down, He saw Anna and their father waiting for him to start supper.
"I'm sorry, I overslept "
" Not a problem boy. It'll be unroyal to eat without our guests " he said as he poured some soup into Aze's bowl. " where is your lady?"
" She's sleeping. I'll feed her later" he told.
He nodded and started eating. The tables presented a rich tapestry of tastes. The mutton soup, Rabbit steak, Bread, cake, and vegetable salad.
The hall was illuminated by electric lamps and candles. The electricity connection is a nightmare in the interior of the countryside.
As Aze finished eating, Anna served him a piece of cake. Lily and her father went to the room.
" Have you baked this one?" Aze asked.
" Yes. It's the only way to live after pappa stopped working "she said.
"I see him in good health now. What made you end the college.."
" He had an accident and his arthritis worsened. I couldn't leave him and Lily alone here"
"Understood. Does he go hunting alone? I mean he seems fit.. But still.."
"No, he got a butler. I hate him. He is the one who spoils him" She said as cleaning the table.
"Take the food to Fenn, She'll probably be hungry" Ann gave him a tray of bowl of soup, with steak and some salad.
" I don't think she'll have the steak," Aze said as he took the steak off the tray.
" oh, then keep it in the plate," Fenn told..."On the table"
Aze kept the steak on the plate on the table and walked to the room.
"Hey, Pappa is calling you. I'll get her the food" Lily asked Aze to meet her father and took the tray from her.
" The room on the left," She said as she hopped over the stairs.
Aze stood confused for a moment and walked to the room.
"Come, come. I miss a drinking partner for long" He asked Aze to come and sit on the bed with a huge drum of wine.
" I've brewed this myself, " He said as he poured some for Aze.
