I kept stealing glances at her.

Making sure I don't miss a detail. The small mole of hers, the faint mark, the shape of her eyes. I've memorized each and every detail of her. With each stroke of my pencil, bit by bit, on this piece of paper, I draw my life on it. I make it alive.

Yet, when I look back at her, my sketch is still seems dull. Lifeless. No matter how many times I've practiced to draw out her eyes on this paper. To get the shape of her lips right. The plumpness of her cheeks and the shape of her nose. I still can't pour out her beauty on this paper.

I believe because it is not the work done by my hands. Perhaps some Divine power,Which took it's precious time. Sculpting her features. Patiently, gracefully and beautifully.

She fell asleep soon after we started heading towards the town. And I took my time, sketching her. With the mountains, with trees,Near the bonfire. With her mesmerizing smile.

When we got down the bus,we started exploring the local market.

Clothes,food,decors,everything excited her.

And I tried my best to capture the glint in her eyes in my eyes. Making sure to learn it by heart.

She stopped at a jewellery shop, trying out bangles and jhumkas. She looked in the mirror, checking how they're looking on her then Turning towards me asking me if they look good on her.

I simply nod. Because telling her she looks Divine,So ethereal and because of those bangles or jhumkas, but because of herself. Her eyes, her smile. They are her real beauty. The accessories she's trying on are just that. For me, she will never need those to look beautiful. Telling her this, as her best friend, would be wrong.

I watch her removing those jhumkas before walking away towards her friends, trying out Some other jewellery.

I hold the jhumkas she tried on earlier along with those bangles. Her face full of excitement flashed in front of me. Paying the shopkeeper, I kept those jhumkas with me. Promising myself to give them to her one Day.

Now, I was holding her phone, clicking her pictures with her friends.

"Arsh, The camera's too low." She says,

I hold the camera up to her liking,

"Yes! Perfect!"

Then she pulls me towards herself, shoving the camera towards Siara, asking her to click a picture of the both of us.

Her arm around me, I stand still. My hand just a little away from her waist.

"Arsh, you've to smile." She nudged me,

And I smiled.

Click.

She goes up to her friend, checking the pictures she took of us. Engrossed in it.
I take out my phone and a click a picture of her secretly. Or rather tried to.
