Izzy dragged me all the way to our room. She sat me down on my bed I stare at the wall. She's pacing in front of me.
"Okay the map straight up had Moony and Padfoot." Izzy says pausing in front of me before pacing again.
I grab the map and open it how the twins showed us. "Let's start memorizing it Izzy....There's something I haven't told you...I really don't want you freaking out. Please Izzy I need you to trust me" I pout at her
"Of course I trust you Maeve."
"I met my father by accident-"
"Maeve why didn't you tell me?" Izzy yells
"Because I didn't want you freaking out like you are now!" I exclaim. "He rambled quite a bit. It was the last full moon that I met him the first time." I start looking at her.
"The first time? You know what we'll address that after you finish telling me this." She mumbles
I sigh before nodding "I was about to follow you and Moony into the Whomping Willow when I smelt something I hadn't before. I felt like something was watching me so I looked around... I made eye contact with a big black dog. I was curious obviously and it went into the forrest." I look at her
"You followed the dog and that's how you found him. We've been over this you can't just follow animals when they catch your attention Cassiopeia Maeve!" Izzy starts to lecture me.
"Isa that's not what happened!" I yell at her."What?"
"I went to follow you both but I saw Crookshanks and Misty follow the dog so I followed them to make sure they were okay." I sighed "I followed them to a small clearing and Misty was rubbing against a mans leg and Crookshanks was in the mans lap.... The man was my father...Sirius Black." I look down at my hands playing with my fingers
I hear Isa gasp and I nod slowly. "He then spoke to me..."
"What did he say?!"
"He said 'Hello there pretty wolf, I would like to actually talk to you and have a name to call you. Will you please switch back?' I obviously huffed at him and shook my head before I turned to run." I breathe out a laugh. "He yelled at me to wait... saying he knew I was probably going after Remus Lupin but I swear it sounded like he went to say Moony. He promised he didn't have a wand or anything. I finally truly looked at him..." I look back down before reaching for my Padfoot putting him in my lap.
"Maeve?" Izzy asks putting her hands over mine. "What did you see?"
"I saw his clothes were literally hanging off of him. His face was so thin. The clothes were swallowing him Izzy." I look at her with tears in my eyes. "I noded at him. Once I was turned back into myself and was standing on two legs I looked at him praying he wouldn't figure out who I was." I tell her feeling tears actually going down my face.
I hear Izzy sigh as she sat down next to me wrapping her arms around me. "Cassie what happened?"
I chuckle lightly "Don't call me that in public okay?" She nods with a smile one her face. "He introduced himself and softly asked me for my name..."
"What did you tell him?"
"I told him my name was Maeve Lupin. He had gasped and sounded so broken when he asked 'Remus had a kid?' It was like he was asking himself and blaming himself for not knowing." I explain to her
"This doesn't sound like a serial killer. It sounds more like a broken man." Izzy tells me I nod at her pulling Padfoot into my chest.
"I explained that Moony raised me as his own and that he was the closest thing I had to a father. The only parent I had. I told him that you two were waiting. And that I knew you could handle it but you had never done it alone. I told him to talk fast or tell me where and when to meet him next...." I grab her hand hoping to keep myself grounded. She squeezes my hand again. "He started rambling about how I was bigger then any of them where and that he thinks I'm bigger than an actual wolf."
