NYX. Is the goddess of the night, one of the primordial gods (protogenoi) who emerged as the dawn of creation.
She was a child of Khaos (Chaos, Air), and coupling with Erebos (Darkness) she produced Aither (Aether, Light) and Hemera (Day). Alone she spawned a brood of dark spirits including the three Fates, Sleep, Death, Strife and Pain.
Nyx was an ancient deity usually envisaged as the very substance of the night--a veil of dark mists drawn across the sky to obscure the light of Aither, the shining blue of the heavens. Her opposite number was Hemera (Day) who scattered the mists of night at dawn.
In ancient art Nyx was depicted as a either a winged goddess or charioteer, sometimes crowned with an aureole of dark mists.
Over forty years ago , Nyx had made a promise to her once love that she looked out for the underworld . Throughout time of hades being trapped on the isle of lost.
But throughout time , she stopped going down to the underworld.
She has the charm that made people always agree with her , always say yes to her , including Zeus.
But the only time he says no , is when she tries to convince him to let Hades out of the isle of lost and go back to ruling the underworld.
Which he strongly declines.
But once Nyx heard about him and maleficent having a child together , disappointed her , it didn't anger her at all , she wasn't even surprised he'd go back to the Fairy.
What disappointed her was that he left his child behind.
But while alone , he would think of Nyx every time there was mist in the darkness , that's what her favourite thing to do.
But he couldn't help but think it was because she was depressed and lonely.
But when his daughter broke down the barrier , he was to cowardly to face the women he betrayed , he didn't even tell his daughter about Nyx.
Not until they were bonding at night when mist appeared as the skies darkened , made him feel the need to explain about what made him so calm when he see's mist.
Taking him back to a time after he and Maleficent part ways to the time.
