Zion's POV
The next morning.
I hadn't slept. I hadn't even moved from the couch since I got home. My clothes were still soaking wet from the downpour last night. All I did was cry, thinking about how everything went so wrong.
I knew Soyeon had something to do with it.
But why me? Out of all people, why would she do this to me?
Soyeon's POV
I arrived at the studio early, giving me time to set everything up. It was quiet, just me and my thoughts.
After about ten minutes, the rest of the girls began trickling in.
Soyeon: "(Good morning.)"
Shuhua: "(Good morning.)"
Soyeon: "(Where's Minnie?)"
Yuqi: "(She texted me around seven, said she had something to do first, but she'd be back.)"
Soyeon: "(Call her. Tell her she needs to come now. We need to have this song ready by the end of the week.)"
Minnie's POV
I was still in bed, my mind replaying yesterday's events.
Why would Soyeon do that? Zion didn't even get a chance to show what he could do.
My phone rang, pulling me from my thoughts. Yuqi.
Minnie: "(Hey, Yuqi, what's up?)"
Yuqi: "(Soyeon's wondering when you're coming.)"
Minnie: "(I'm not coming today. I'm checking on Zion, making sure he's okay.)"
Yuqi: "(Okay, unnie. See you later.)"
End of call.
I sighed and placed my phone on the bed, heading to the shower.
Zion didn't come all the way here to be sent home with nothing. I wouldn't let that happen.
Yuqi's POV
Soyeon: "(What did she say?)"
Should I lie?
Yuqi: "(She's going to check on Zion.)"
Soyeon's expression hardened.
Soyeon: "(Tell her to come now. This isn't a joke.)"
I quickly texted Minnie.
Minnie, please get here.
Zion's POV
I finally forced myself off the couch and took a shower. As I was getting dressed, my phone buzzed—a text from Minnie.
Minnie: Hey Zion, want to meet up for lunch today?
Zion: Don't you have to be at the studio?
Minnie: I'm upset with Soyeon. I don't want to see her right now. I also want to help you get your job back.
Zion: Thanks, Minnie, but it's okay. I'm heading back home tomorrow. Everything's booked.
Minnie: Please, just meet me at the Korean barbecue restaurant near the company. Then we'll go see the CEO.
Zion: Alright. See you soon.
One Hour Later
I walked into the restaurant and saw Minnie waiting. She looked up and smiled.
Minnie: "Hey, how are you?"
She stood up and hugged me.
Zion: "I'm okay. Just really tired. Haven't slept since I left the company yesterday."
