I slowly tried to reassure myself "I refuse to let this ruin me. I refuse to let this ruin me. I refuse to let this ruin me" I said repeatedly while craddling my body against the cold wall. You know what I've realized? We do all these things to try to make ourself numb to pain but in the end it's all we feel. I don't know how to move on or what's next for me but, I guess i'll find that out as time slips by. I stood up and started smoothing out my dress and just as I grabbed the door handle I heard quiet knocking. "who is it" I managed to say. "Sweetie its me Mrs. Johnson. I heard what happened do you want to talk?" Hayden's mother said. I always felt comfortable around her. She is very kind. I reached to unlock the door slowly. and opened it. She looked at me with sympathy. Then gave me a big hug. "Would you like me to take you to your parents house?" "Sure" I said shamefully.
**20 minutes later**
I had just arrived at my parents house and before I could even knock my parents rushed out and have me a huge hug. "I'm so so s- they cut me off "sweet heart there is nothing to apologize for. You were following your heart. That's all we ever wanted for you." My dad said reassuring me. He was always so soft spoken. I loved that about him. "Come on honey lets get you inside." I quickly smiled and walked into the house. I missed it here so much. all the memories I made in this house came rushing back to me. Like sliding down the stairs on an air mattress with my brother max. Or playing hide and go seek in the barn out back. I found myself gleaming at all of those events. "Isabelle you can stay in your old room if you like. Max is out with his friends so he won't be back for a while so you can have some quiet time." My mom said and walked away. "Wait mom what about Eric?" "Oh I have no idea where that boy ran off to." I grabbed my bags and rushed upstairs to my room. I laid on the bed for a little while until I drifted off into a heavy sleep. I woke up around 6pm and showered. Then I changed into skinny jeans with a white tank top and a plaid shirt tyed around my waist. Then I headed downstairs to hangout. "Hey Eric." I said while flopping on the couch. "Wow you seem awfully happy for a girl who just got left at the altar." He snapped at me. I felt tears welling up in my eyes. I looked away from him and tried to distract myself by listening to my mom and dad talk about crops and the animals on our farm. "John I don't think you should go out to the barn this late at night. We made a deal. You said that you would slow down and rest every once in awhile. that's why we hired Luke." My mom said sternly. I heard the front door creak open and close. I saw a figure step into the house from the corner of my eye. Soon My sights were set on a insanely hot stranger. He had black hair and perfectly chiseled body.
