Jackson felt his heart twist as Jasper's voice broke through his thoughts. "Jackson, I know what you're doing. It's not gonna work, damn it," Jasper said with a mix of frustration and determination. "I love Vlad. One argument is not gonna change that."

Jackson clenched his fists, trying to keep his composure. He had hoped that maybe, just maybe, Jasper would see things differently after their last conversation. But Jasper's words were a stark reminder of the reality he had to accept. "I get it, Jasper," Jackson replied, his voice tinged with resignation. "I just thought... I thought maybe you needed to see things from a different perspective."

Jasper shook his head, his expression softening slightly. "I appreciate that you're trying to look out for me, Jackson. But my feelings for Vlad are real. We've been through a lot together, and one disagreement isn't enough to break what we have."

Jackson took a deep breath, forcing a smile. "I understand. I just want you to be happy, even if it's not with me." It was hard to say those words, but Jackson knew they were necessary. He had to let go of his hopes and focus on supporting Jasper as a friend. It was painful, but he valued their friendship too much to risk losing it over unrequited feelings.

Jasper nodded, a hint of relief in his eyes. "Thank you, Jackson. That means a lot to me."

Jasper went home, his mind still reeling from the conversation with Jackson. He knew he had to tell Vlad what happened, even though he dreaded his reaction. As he walked through the door, he found Vlad in the living room, looking up expectantly.

"Hey, Vlad," Jasper began hesitantly. "I need to talk to you about something that happened with Jackson today."

Vlad's eyes narrowed, sensing the tension in Jasper's voice. "What is it?" he asked, his tone already edging towards impatience.

Jasper took a deep breath and recounted the conversation, trying to be as honest and clear as possible. He explained how Jackson had expressed his feelings and how he had firmly told Jackson that he loved Vlad and that one argument wasn't going to change that.

As Jasper spoke, he could see Vlad's expression darkening. When he finished, Vlad's anger boiled over. "I can't believe that guy!" Vlad shouted, his face flushed with rage. "He's trying to come between us!" In a fit of anger, Vlad's fist connected with the wall, leaving a dent and causing Jasper to flinch.

"Vlad, please calm down," Jasper pleaded, stepping closer. "I handled it. I told Jackson that we're solid and that nothing he says or does will change that."

Vlad took a few deep breaths, his anger slowly subsiding. He looked at Jasper, his eyes filled with a mix of frustration and concern. "I just don't want anyone to come between us," he said more quietly, his voice trembling slightly.

Jasper placed a reassuring hand on Vlad's arm. "No one will, Vlad. I promise. We're stronger than this. Jackson is just a friend, and he knows where we stand now."

Vlad nodded, pulling Jasper into a tight embrace. "I'm sorry for losing my temper," he murmured. "I just care about you so much."

"I know," Jasper replied softly, holding Vlad close. "And I care about you too. We'll get through this together."
