The Dangerous Switch

Olivia had woke the next morning and started her routine in double this time. She got dressed and then made eggs bacon and toast for both girls for breakfast while the girls were getting ready for the day and when they came out she seen Eden was wearing some of Talia clothes since the girls were about the same size although Eden was skinnier due to the neglect and abuse she had received.

Talia went right for the plate but Eden went to the toaster thinking the other plate was for Olivia but Olivia stopped her and Eden backed up looking scared "I'm s...sorry I...I should have asked" she said remembering how her parents controlled the food and Olivia knelt down and shook her head "hey. Hey it's alright I already made you a plate right next to Talia ok." She said softly not to scare the girl and Eden looked at the plate slightly and said "that's mine?" "Yes sweetie now go ahead and eat ok." Olivia replied and Eden nodded going to sit next to Talia as Olivia said "ok after you both eat we will walk Talia to school and Eden sweetie you will come with me to work today ok cause I haven't had a chance to finish signing you up for Talia school yet." She said as she ate her morning bagel. Talia pouted and said "why can't I come to work with you too mommy?" "Because my love I don't want you missing school unless you absolutely have to and Eden will be going with you in a day or two ok" Olivia smiled as she was doing Talia hair while she ate and Talia sighed "Ok mommy ".

Olivia then did Eden's hair and got their coats on and took both their hands walking them to the school. She kissed her daughters head and said "Lucy will come get you after school and I'll be home a couple hours after ok?" she said and Talia smiled "Bye mommy" she said and ran off in to the school. Olivia then took Eden's hand and walked to the station and in to the elevator up to the 3rd floor and in to svu offices. Eden clung close to her and Olivia smiled and lead her in to her office and said "i have to go talk to my friends and do some work but while I'm out there why don't you play some games on my tablet ok" she said and handed Eden her tablet and Eden nodded "thank you Livia." she said sitting on the couch in her office as Olivia set her purse down and walked out of her office and over to the squad. "Ok where are we on the abuse case for Eden?" Olivia asked. "We have been interviewing the mother and father separately. Kimberly, the mother says Eden is lying and that's she's prone to that and the father, Richard says he would never hurt his daughter but refused a DNA sample and asked for a lawyer." Fin said. Amanda sighed "Great so they are going to take this court and make that poor girl testify." only Olivia and fin knew about the DNA test showing Eden was Olivia's daughter so Olivia sighed and said "Ok guys so listen. Fin found out through the blood draw from the rape kit that Eden .... is actually my daughter" she said. The rest of the squad looked shocked and Amanda said "how's that possible?" "because Talia and Eden were switched at birth. I am currently working with Trevor to handle a lawsuit against the hospital and try to get custody of both girls." Olivia said.

"You really ready to take on 2 kids? I mean its not easy" Amanda said "and I cant imagine trying to do it with two girls who barely know each other." she finished. Olivia smiled "I know it may be difficult but I wont let either of my girls be shuffled through foster care or be returned to a child molester and drug addict." she said.

They worked on the case all day and did a search of the Raines apartment. They hadn't found much except a couple clothing items of the father and Eden, but they hit the motherload when they found some recordings on the fathers computer of Eden and not just with him. Amanda and fin looked at each other and sighed knowing this would infuriate Olivia especially under the circumstances.

Fin and Amanda peeked their heads in and told Olivia they needed to speak with her alone and Olivia walked out of her office and in to the empty lunch area and Amanda sighed "Liv we found videos on the fathers computer...but the videos were not just of him and Eden some were with her and other men too." she said. Olivia covered her mouth in shock "Damn it. She hadn't said any of that to us" she glanced over in to the window of her office looking at the small girl who had fallen asleep on the couch in her office. "Ok run the faces of the men through the system and find these bastards."
