A Night of Longing

It was late, the kind of night when the world outside was silent, leaving room for thoughts and feelings to swirl unchecked. Jude Bellingham lay in bed, his mind consumed by one person—Y/N. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw her smile, heard her laughter, felt the warmth of her presence. It was driving him crazy, this need to be close to her, to have her all to himself.

The phone in his hand felt heavy as he stared at Y/N's contact. He had tried to keep his feelings at bay, to focus on his career, but she had become an all-consuming part of his thoughts. Tonight, he couldn't hold back any longer. He needed her to know, needed to voice the yearning that had been building up inside him.

He pressed record and took a deep breath, his voice low and rough with emotion.

"Hey, Y/N... it's me, Jude. I, uh... I can't stop thinking about you. It's been like this for a while now, but tonight, it's different. It's like I can't breathe without telling you how much I crave being close to you."

He paused, running a hand through his hair, feeling the heat rise in his chest. "You're always on my mind. When I'm on the pitch, when I'm in the locker room, when I'm supposed to be focusing on anything else... it's you I'm thinking about. I don't even know if you feel the same way, but I need you to know what you do to me."

His voice softened, becoming almost a whisper. "I miss you, Y/N. I miss the way you look at me, the way your eyes light up when you're excited about something. I miss the sound of your voice, the way it wraps around me and makes everything else disappear."

Jude swallowed, his heart pounding as he struggled to find the right words. "I need you, Y/N. I need to be near you, to feel your presence, to know that you're mine. I can't stand the thought of anyone else being close to you, of you smiling at someone else the way you smile at me."

His breath hitched, and he let out a shaky exhale. "I wish you were here with me right now. I wish I could tell you all of this in person, but I don't trust myself to say it right. I don't want to scare you away, but I can't keep this to myself anymore."

He paused, closing his eyes as he let the words flow. "I hope this doesn't change things between us, but if it does... I need you to know that I don't regret telling you. Because you're worth it, Y/N. You're worth every crazy, desperate thought in my head."

Jude sighed, a mix of relief and tension settling over him. "I guess that's all I wanted to say. I'll see you soon, I hope. Take care, Y/N."

With that, he ended the recording and sent the voicemail before he could second-guess himself. As the message disappeared from his screen, Jude lay back, staring at the ceiling, wondering what she would think, how she would respond. The wait was agonizing, but for now, he had done all he could. The rest was in her hands.
