Shreya's mind raced as Abhishek revealed more about his family's dealings.
"They're using me as a pawn in their business game, Shreya. I never wanted to marry Sophia."
Shreya's heart ached, seeing the pain in Abhishek's eyes.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Abhishek sighed.
"I was scared of losing you. I know I should have been honest, but I was trapped."
Just then, Abhishek's phone buzzed. A text from an unknown number:
"Meet me at the old oak tree at midnight. Come alone."
Abhishek's eyes narrowed.
"It's from my grandfather. He wants to meet in secret."
Shreya's instincts screamed warning.
"Don't go, Abhishek. It's a trap."
But Abhishek was resolute.
"I need to face him, Shreya. For us, for our future."
