Morgie was sitting in his little plastic chair, listening to his mother's murderer give a speech on peace and equality. So this was a predicament. He zoned out for a while, wondering why he had even agreed to come here. Well, it wasn't like he had anywhere else to go, but still.
— flashback —
It was his thirteenth birthday, and Morgie had just jumped out of bed to a happy sight of his mother making him his favourite breakfast. Good morning my dear, she had said. Morgie sat down at the table to find a huge spell book and a golden bracelet. Happy birthday, son! his mother said excitedly. Morgie jumped up and wrapped his small arms around his mother, smiling from ear to ear. Thank you thank you thank you! He yelled happily. Of course this happy moment had to be interrupted by a knock at the door. His mothers face paled as she looked out the window. Morgie, honey, go hide in the enchanted forest, go through the back door, don't come back. Why mummy? Had been his all too innocent reply. His mother sighed as she told him about Merlin and her brother, who had come to kill her for some past crimes. Take this spell book and bracelet, you'll need it, she said. Morgie then did as he was told, scrambling out the back door, his mothers last words to him being, I love you Morgie. Don't die. Morgie scrambled up a tree, from which he could see through the kitchen window. He saw two men walk through the door, two men walk up to his mother, his mother putting up a good fight and, finally, two men stabbing his mother with poisoned knives. He heard her shrill scream of pain, he saw the pool of blood seeping out of the wounds as she collapsed on the ground. He felt shivers run through his body, sadness draping over him like a blanket. That day was the first, last, and only time Morgie had cried. Seeing his loving mother dead on the floor, it made something snap inside of him, it made him long to kill King Arthur and Merlin too, it made him long for vengeance.
— end of flashback—
"Morgie and Captain Hook" said the bumbling principal. Morgie snapped out of his little trance and walked up to the platform on which Merlin stood. He fought hard to keep a growl from escaping his throat, but then he looked to Merlin's right and came face to face with the single most beautiful boy he had ever seen. He was just short gasping as a tiinnny pink blush crept onto his face. Wow, this boy was absolutely gorgeous, the way he stared intently at Morgie, the way his eyes met his, his evil smirk he gave Morgie made him fear him and love him at the very same time. The butterflies in his stomach never ceasing and the colour on his cheeks reddening dispite his deep wishes to act normal in front of this boy. "Here are your keys and schedules, boys, now off you go, your dorm number is 269." Merlin said. Morgie just stood there, staring at the boy, unmoving. The boy stepped up and slipped his hand through Morgies, leading him off the stage. Morgie was shocked to say the least. He felt himself blush more and his hand grasp the others hand tightly. " so, you're Morgie, right?" The boy asked. Morgie couldn't believe he was actually addressing him! " Wow, your voice is beautiful," he said, immediately regretting it. He hadn't meant to, it had just slipped out. The other boy laughed lightheartedly and said "you mean like your adorable little lovesick smile?" Morgie went red and said " sorry, sorry, it was an accident!" He blushed even more. This boy probably thought he was such an idiot. Why did he have to be so stupid??! " It's ok, love, it's difficult to find your words in front of perfection, isn't it?" Goodness, he was so vain, but Morgie somehow liked him even more for it. " I'm joking, I'm joking, but your smile is pretty adorable," the boy said flirtatiously. Morgie found himself smiling again " thanks, um..." Morgie wondered what to call this boy, as he hadn't caught the name. " Captain Hook, but you can call me James, you're welcome" Morgie nodded and the two walked in silence for a little while before Hook finally piped up. " so, who are your parents?" The question almost made Morgie burst into tears on the spot, he stopped short, making Hook stop as well. " oh, touchy subject, is it?" He asked. Morgie nodded and James wrapped his arms around him in a tight hug. Morgie accepted it gratefully and hugged him back. " My last name's Le Fae if it helps" Morgie whispered when they broke the hug. He felt hooks hand slip through his once again, their fingers twining together. " I know what it's like," James said, seemingly staring into space. " its part of how I lost my hand, actually, but I can tell you about that later." Morgie nodded and squeezed his hand softly and reassuringly. It was very clear that they had both been through some shit. It was also very clear that they would be there for each other, an unspoken promise, really. They walked in a comfortable, yet sad silence. Eventually, they reached their dorm room. "Well, this is it, James said, unlocking the door. He walked in and Morgie was right behind him. The door shut behind them, leaving them standing together in the cozy little room. It was decorated to look like a cabin in a pirate ship. There were two beds, one with swampy green sheets and one with red. Hooks belongings were on the red one and Morgies' were on the green one. There were two desks sitting beside each other in the corner of the room, probably for studying. Two closets and two sets of drawers were the only other furniture there. It was amazing.( A/N - I004 words!!!!! The most I've ever written in just one chapter!!! )
