I am always very cheery when it comes to this podcast but sorry

This time I can't

This poem is for all the victims of Rape

a poem that speaks to the deep pain, resilience, and demand for justice in response to the ongoing issue of rape in India:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Silent Cries, Unyielding Echoes

In the shadows of silent nights,
Where fear and pain take flight,
The world turns its gaze away,
As innocence fades to gray.

A daughter’s scream, a mother’s tear,
Echoes loud, but who will hear?
The streets where dreams once danced,
Now bear scars of a violent trance.

Each life, a story untold,
Of hearts broken, courage bold,
But justice lingers, slow and cold,
In a land where hope grows old.

Yet, from the ashes of despair,
Rises a voice, fierce and fair,
To break the chains, to light the flame,
No more silence, no more shame.

For every wound, a scar remains,
But through the tears, we'll break these chains,
A new dawn where hearts unite,
In truth, in strength, in endless fight.
