My Name is Kaylin Elizabeth Halstead. I'm 18 years old, living in Tree Hill, North Carolina with my parents Erin and Jay as well as siblings Bex, Meg, Cora, and Ski. My parents moved here 15 years ago, when our step-grandmother let out a secret she kept for nearly 30 years at our parent's wedding. She passed away a year ago from lung cancer.
We currently live down the street from Aunt Brooke and her Husband Julian and their children Davis, Jude and Carolyn. I know, it's a long story and I'm willing to share. But first...
Keep in mind that this is no ordinary life, our parents are detectives at our local police department. I'm a music major in college doing an internship at Red Bedroom Records. Aunt Brooke is a well-known Fashion Designer and Uncle Julian is a well-known Film Producer and Director.
I'm grateful for the life I have, I realize our parents did not have the same chances that we did growing up, and that they made these opportunities possible for us.
I hope to make a name for myself one day like they did, but life has a way of changing your path and perspective without letting you know ahead of time.
