Last Day of Summer

Evalynn's POV~

Is it weird I'm actually excited to be moving, and going to a new school! I don't really know if I should be, but I am. But the only reason we moved is because of my mother passing away. When she was 7 and 1/2 months pregnant with Ryelee, she started getting really sick, so they had to do and emergency c-section on her, and she ended up passing. The only good thing about it is that we lost and angel and received a new one that reminds me so much of my mom. Ryelee is a normal size even though she was born premature. My brother Knolan is the cutest thing ever as well. He laughs the same way as my mom did, it makes me feel as if she's still here. As for me I look just like my dad, except for the fact I have my eyes that change color depending on my mood, just like my moms. My family was going to move either way due to the fact my father got a promotion and was asked to move to Nebraska. It's kind of a late notice on the exact day we were moving which was today, since today is the last day of summer and tomorrow I have to go to a school I have no idea on to where this place even is. I will be visiting it today though. We are now on our way to our new house, after just landing on the plane. I'm getting really tired. I didn't get a chance to sleep on the plane because I was playing with Knolan, who was sitting right next to me. That was his first plane ride, so he didn't want to take a nap. Typical 5 year old. But he is the funniest 5 year old you would ever meet. I plugged in my headphones, and turned on my Kalin and Myles playlist. The first song to come up was their 'Watch Me' remix. My eyelids started getting heavy. Until I finally fell asleep.

~ 15 minutes later~

"Hey Ev, were here." My dad said shaking me to wake me up. My eyes fluttered open to see a house that was huge compared to my old one. We pulled into the drive way, and I hopped out of the rental car. Both my fathers and I's car will be here in a day or two, due to the fact we flew in on a plane. I shut my door and opened the back one to wake up Knolan, as my dad got Ryelee out of her carrier. I held Knolans hand as we walked into our new house. As walking in there was a stair way leading upstairs. To the left was what looked like a small living room. To the right is a dining room, that has a rectangular hole in the wall where you can see the kitchen, with a door leading to the backyard, which was huge. It had a big inground pool, patio, and a huge yard. Walking back in the house, through the kitchen, there's a door leading to the basement, where my dad said that will be the hang out for me, because there's and extra room by the kitchen where the little kids can play. Across from the basement door is a tiny hallway that has a closet, and next to that is a bathroom. Then there's a giant living room. This house is already huge and I haven't even been upstairs yet. Walking up the stairs there's just one hallway. Reaching the top of the stairs to the right is the master bedroom with a bathroom, which will be my dads room. On the left is what will be Knolans room, across from that is the bathroom us kids will share. Next to the bathroom is a closet, across from the closet is my room, which is the biggest room out if the kids. Next to my room at the end of the hallway is Ryelees room. Wow this house is so big. I walked into my room and found that everything was already here. I just needed to unpack the boxes. My room color was a mint green, and my bed sheets were black and white. I went back downstairs. "Dad I'm hung..." I began to say as my dad walked around the corner saying, "Already handled it kiddo." , As he rubbed the top of my head, placing the pizza box on the table and grabbing the plates. " Sweet!" I said with excitement. Pizza was my all time favorite food, behind grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup. After a few bites of pizza there was a knock at the door. We just got here how does anyone know we're here. I got up and went and checked the door since my dad was feeding Ryelee. "Hi, I just seen that you moved in, I'm your neighbor. I'm Makayla by the way. I live down the street like 4 houses. My mom told me to come down and say hey, she's the principle At school and said that you will be attending tomorrow." A girl said that looked about my age. She had blond curly hair, brown eyes, and braces. She was about my height too. "Hey, I'm Evalynn. Yeah we just moved here today actually. And yeah you must be Mrs. Grecos daughter right." I responded. "Yepper that me. You're going into junior year right?", "Yes I am, what grade are you going into." She smiled and said "Me too. I can show you around school tomorrow morning. And you can meet some of my friends. I'm just going to warn you now, there are some things you might freak about, coming to school here." she said kind of worried. "Why what would I freak about?" I replied kind of scared at what to expect tomorrow. "Oh you can just find out tomorrow. Do you need a ride to school tomorrow? I would gladly give you a ride." she asked. "Actually yes. Thank you so much.", " Ok so I'll pick you up at 8 tomorrow so we can get to school early so I can show you around." She said. Must be school starts at 9 here, because back in Arizona, school started at 8. "Alright so I'll see you tomorrow." I said. "Yeah, See ya tomorrow. And Welcome to Omaha, Nebraska." She said one last time before leaving. I was still curious to why I would freak out at school tomorrow, but I guess we'll just find out later. I walked back to the dining room to tell my dad I'm going to bed, but he wasn't there. I walked upstairs to see him tucking in Knolan. "Goodnight dad. I love you." I said. He turned around and replied with a "Goodnight sweetie. I love you too. Sleep tight, you have a big day ahead of ya tomorrow." I gave him a smile and went into my room. I put on my Adidas soccer sweatpants and a t shirt, I then turned out my light and fell into a nice sleep.
