Months passed with them getting more closer and loving eachother more, one fine evening as they were enjoying a quieter moment, Ashter said, "I saw you with my grandma that day. She seems to really like you. You take such good care of her. That job suits you well."
"A nanny for a granny," Crystal said with a playful smile, tying her hair into a ponytail.
Ashter, seeing her like this, felt an overwhelming surge of affection. He moved toward her, his heart full. He cupped her face in his hands and pressed his lips against hers in a deep, passionate kiss.
"Not a nanny, but my wife, love," he said, his fingers gently tangling in her hair, making her blush and pull back slightly.
Crystal, taken aback, looked at him with wide eyes. "Are you serious?"
Ashter didn't answer immediately. Instead, he continued kissing her neck, slowly moving towards her cleavage. Crystal, unsure if he was serious, found herself caught off guard by the intensity of his actions.
After a few more kisses, Ashter pulled back slightly and asked, "Why? Don't you want to marry me, love?"
Crystal was stunned. At 23, she hadn't seriously considered her future, but Ashter's earnestness and the depth of his feelings made her blush even more. Seeing her reaction, Ashter pulled her into a tight embrace.
"Ashter, from the moment I met you, you made me feel safe and protected. I was never scared when I was with you. I have been so genuine and myself. It's a sign that I am recovering. And you are really the reason for that" she asked, holding him close.
"I'm glad you're recovering, and I'm even happier to know it's because of me. Now, where's my reward?" Ashter teased, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Crystal looked at him curiously. "What do you want?"
"Let's go," he said, taking her hand and leading her outside.
"Where are we going?"
He guided her to a nearby lake, a place that held special memories for both of them.
"Oh my god, this place is still here," Crystal exclaimed, her voice filled with awe.
Ashter took out a small box and opened it, revealing a ring. He dropped to one knee beside the lake, looking up at her with unwavering sincerity. "Crystal, I know I'm not a perfect person. I've made many mistakes, but the one mistake I would regret the most is not searching for you, not fighting for you. You came back into my life, and you've made it feel like a dream. Before you, I was just surviving. Now, I'm living, and I'm truly happy. Do you remember when I gave you that flower and you said, 'Let's get married when we grow up'? I said, 'I don't know, but if you look this beautiful in the future, I definitely will.' We made a promise here, exactly here. I'm keeping my promise. Crystal, I love you. Will you marry me?"
Crystal's eyes filled with tears as she looked down at him. "Yes, yes I love you Ashter." she said, her voice choked with emotion as she threw her arms around him.
As they embraced, a tear fell from her cheek, mixing with the happiness of the moment. Ashter saying "In the world full of temporary things you are my forever" slipped the ring onto her finger, and they shared a tender kiss under the fading light of the day, sealing their promise and their future together.
