"You know, everyone has a dual nature, but in my case, people call it PTSD. It usually happens when someone can't move on from a terrifying event. For me, I can't forget the day I was born-it was terrifying enough to leave me with PTSD. Well, today is my interview at my dream company, Tell Book. I want to do my best... I just hope I can." Crystal thought while preparing for her meeting.

She wore a light blue colour dress and made her hair in middle partition leaving her long hairs open.

In the office...

Crystal handed him her resume, trying to keep her hands steady.

"Nice to meet you, Creastel," he said, glancing at the paper.

"Not Creastel. It's Crystal," she corrected, perhaps too sharply.

He raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Unique name. What does it mean?"

"Something clear or precious," she replied, her voice edged with a defiant grin.

Asther leaned back in his chair, studying her with a bemused expression. "With that look on your face, I'm guessing you're planning to kill someone."

"Hell yes. Care to be my live audience?" She shot back, the words slipping out before she could even think.

His eyes sparkled with amusement. "You're the first person to talk like this in an interview. What makes you think we'll hire you?"

"My talent," she said simply, leaning forward with a smirk.

"Just because we invited you here doesn't mean you've got the job," he said, his tone shifting slightly. "There are plenty of candidates waiting outside."

She couldn't help herself. "Let me correct you... You didn't invite me. I hacked your website and got myself in."

There was a pause as he blinked, clearly taken aback. "Sorry... You did what?"

"You heard me," She said, then softened her tone. "But that's not true."

Asther shook his head, chuckling. "You've got some nerve saying that to the CEO. I have to admit, I'm impressed."

"I'm just showcasing my skills-astonishing people by playing mind games. Isn't that what our Tellbook does?"

His smile grew wider, almost predatory. "Since when did my company become ours?"

"Since the moment you decided to offer me the job," She said, confidence oozing from every pore.

Asther stared at her for a long moment before nodding. "You've got the job. You can start working as my assistant. You're hired."

She exhaled, trying to mask the relief that threatened to show. "I appreciate it, sir. I'll give it my best."

"I'll be waiting for your best," he replied with a seductive smile that sent a shiver down her spine.

Crystal got the job as his assistant, but she couldn't shake the guilt of not being herself. Sometimes, she lost control and acted tough when she felt uncomfortable.

This over-the-top confidence during the interview was just another side effect of her PTSD.
