Diego wouldn't leave the mechanic alone while he worked on Diego's van. The poor guy had a hard time trying to do anything which Diego breathing down his neck and creating to correct him. Luther and Sloane were a little away from everyone, catching up. His arms wrapped around her shoulder as if he was scared she would disappear into thin air. Johnny was pacing, pinching his lower lip between his fingers as he thought of ways to help Jennifer. Five and Lila had bugged him with questions about his timeline. Every now and then, Johnny would glance at his wrist to check the time on his Apple Watch.Viktor was in the lobby of the mechanic shop, sitting in a chair and taking a nap. He had made a phone call not too long ago to check up on his bar. He had called down when one of his good friends said he'll watch the bar until he gets back and not to worry.
At one point, I had received a text from Klaus. He had informed me that he had gone to Ben and I'd house to be with Milo and Claire. Klaus had apologized how he reacted to me and that I was right. He wasn't going to cave in after being sober for this long. Klaus told me that Milo and Claire were cheering him up and they were currently watching Dragon Tales. Apparently Klaus didn't like the new kid shows so he wanted to show them a good one from when we were little.
Ben and I were leaning our backs against the wall of the building. I was catching Ben up on the past two weeks since Milo and I had last seen him in prison. A smile tugged at his lips when I mentioned Milo wanted to play sports but was stuck between soccer and baseball.
"But I think he's starting to lean more toward soccer." I shrugged. "He's been talking about it more, especially with some of his school friends saying they're on a team."
"We can play both sports with him and see which one he likes first. Milo will probably want to start playing one over the other." Ben suggested. He leaned his head back, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me close to him. I placed my head on his shoulder and felt my heart warm. I get to enjoy things like this now. Jail is no longer separating Ben and I. "Can we go out to eat once we get home? Just you, me, and Milo. I just want to spend time with you two."
"Of course." I smiled gently up at him to see Ben already looking at me. A soft expression overtook his features. "Milo would really love that."
"Maybe we can go to the Mexican restaurant Milo always raves about." Ben stated.
"Their queso dip is the best." I nodded.
"Hey guys." Sloane and Luther walked over to us.
"Ben? It's uh, three o'clock. Time to check in with your parole officer." Luther smiled at him.
"Oh, right. I can't wait to catch him up on what I've been up to. Crossing state lines, shooting up a whole town, flipping a Volkswagen. Good idea." Ben smiled sarcastically before dropping it. "No, you moron. That'll get me in even more shit."
"Right..." Luther slowly nodded. "I'll just tell them that you're home."
"So, Luther was telling me about you two having a son." Sloane brought up as the four of us walked over to the others. "I think I remember you mentioning his name earlier."
