Mussoorie breathed magic with every rustle of the leaves and whisper of the wind. The mountains stood tall like guardians of secrets. Ruhi Birla had found a brief escape from the bustling world of diamonds. As the managing director of Goenka Diamond Business, her life was typically filled with negotiations, investments, and corporate meetings. But this trip accompanied by her great grandparents Manish Goenka, Swarna Goenka and Surekha Goenka, felt like a much-needed breath of fresh air.
One sunny afternoon, Ruhi decided to explore a less-traveled path along a cliff that offered breathtaking views of the green valleys below. While admiring the view she misstepped and slipped dangerously close to the edge. Panic surged as she felt the ground give way. She cried out her arms flailing before feeling a firm grip around her wrist. Ruhi looked up frantically to see a tall figure his expression a mix of concern and determination.
"Hold on! I've got you," he shouted.
It was Armaan Poddar a sharp witted lawyer vacationing with his family, who had noticed her precarious situation. With a swift pull he hoisted her back to safety. Their eyes met and in that moment time seemed to stand still.
"Thank you," Ruhi breathed, her heart racing—not just from the near fall but from the undeniable spark that ignited between them.
"Are you okay?" he asked, concern etched on his face.
"I am now," Ruhi managed to say.
After that near miss their paths intertwined seamlessly over the next few days. They strolled through bustling local markets, shared stories on moonlit walks, and laughed over cups of steaming chai. Ruhi found herself drawn to Armaan in a way she had never experienced before. They spent every possible moment together entwined in whispered promises and shared dreams.
One evening as the sun set over the resort terrace overlooking the mountains of Mussoorie, Ruhi and Armaan sat on a wooden bench, their hands brushing against each other.
Ruhi: (looking out at the view) Isn't it beautiful here? I never want this moment to end.
Armaan: (smiling) It's perfect, just like you. I can't believe we met in such a dramatic way.
Ruhi: (giggling) Falling off a cliff wasn't exactly on my itinerary for this trip!
Armaan: (chuckling)I'm just glad I was there to catch you. It felt like fate.
When the trip ended and Ruhi returned to Udaipur, reality hit like a cold wave. They had planned a date to explore their feelings further, with both hearts full of anticipation. Ruhi dressed with care, excited for the evening, but as the hours ticked by, Armaan didn't show up. Minutes turned into hours, and worry began to seep into her anticipation. After what felt like an eternity, Ruhi finally decided to call him.
However, her heart dropped when the call was answered by a stranger named Abhira. The woman spoke harshly, dismissing Ruhi's concerns and leaving her feeling humiliated and heartbroken. Abhira's harsh tone made it sound as if Armaan wanted nothing to do with her, fueling the misunderstanding that engulfed Ruhi's heart. What was happening? Who was this girl? What if he didn't care enough to show up? What if he was now avoiding her?
Around the same time, Armaan's family, the Poddars, approached Ruhi with a marriage proposal for Armaan's younger brother, Rohit. In a spell of emotion feeling abandoned and misled, Ruhi impulsively agreed to marry Rohit Poddar. It was a decision made in haste overshadowed by the lack of clarity in her feelings for Armaan.
On the day of the engagement, Armaan returned to find the love of his life Ruhi, adorned in an elegant bridal dress, preparing to get engaged to his brother. Shocked and frantic, he confronted Ruhi desperate to clear the misunderstanding. Ruhi listened tears cascading down her cheeks as Armaan confessed the truth about his feelings, admitting that he never meant for things to escalate the way they had.
