A/N: Just a quick note beforehand. Some of the people singing were really there at the Voice Uk 2012 and I don't own them. I just didn't want to make up so many, but if you don't recognize one of them, then they are my OC's. Now, on with the story.
-
So, Jessie got Jessie (Jessica Hammond), very predictable with her singing Jessie's greatest song 'Price Tag' in a quite good acoustic version. Maybe I should have turned around like every other coach as well, but oh well. Too late. At least I got Sean Conlon next. Dammit, he was in a boy band already and probably got all the experience, so what was I supposed to teach him? I hadn't thought that over, but how was I supposed to know. 'I will work his voice out, it was definitely good if not a little raspy,' I thought, searching for songs that would fit in my mind. His reaction to my question if he had a cold (Shit happens!) was a simple laugh, so probably not.
"What are you thinking so hard about, beloved?" Danny asked with a SEEMINGLY innocent tone as we waited for the next singer without a face. Yet.
It was truly something new not being able to see them, only being able to judge them by the voice.
I suppressed an eyeroll - which was really hard - as I heard all the f*cking aww's from swooning girls.
"As if you would actually care," I said as calmly as possible. It was unbelievable, how he always (ALWAYS) blew every last nerve I had away by simply...breathing.
The Irish man put a hand over a heart he only had, because he loved himself so much.
"Of course, why else would I ask?"
"Hmm, I don't know. Maybe to annoy the shit outta me like you always do?"
He acted offended with a pout, but I knew it would be replaced soon by his toothy grin.
"Yeah, I make you hot, don't I?"
A dude with a headset around his head stepped forward. "The next...coming...," I vaguely heard him as I glared at Danny.
"What?" I didn't just hear that.
He smirked, glowing with self-confidence. "I know you heard me well enough otherwise you wouldn't be sitting HERE." Witty comeback, I will give him that. Didn't mean I liked the crowd erupting into laughter at me again. I even heard Will and Jessie oooohhhing around.
I pressed my lips together. "Well I'm so sorry - NOT - if I don't listen to testosterone bubbles like you!" I smirked satisfied with the crowd's reaction this time. Yeah, if you think about it a moment, being a star is all about what the publicity makes you out to be. So either you had the looks or the personality or both. If you have none, you're a flash in the pan, a fleeting star.
"See?" Danny replied, totally unfazed. "You are heating up because of me and only me!" he pointed out. Before I could cut him off, he turned back to the crowd. "Yeah you all heard right, I make the mysterious Ice Queen's blood boil...," he glanced back at me, his smirk never wearing off. I set my jaw tight, dwelling on the fact he called me icy, before pushing it off. "...if it's because I get on her nerves or because of SOMETHING ELSE," he made his intention too clear as he ran a hand through his hair again, trailing off.
I snapped. "Ugh I swear, if you-"
"Ah!" he held a finger up, successfully stopping me. "No swearing on TV!" My hands curled up into fists, cursing him to hell and back again and again.
"Ahmm," Tom on my other side - a more pleasant side - cleared his throat quite loudly. "Would you lovebirds mind snapping out of each other. The next voice is coming now."
"Look! Even Tom says you love me and that is bound to mean something!"
I chose to ignore him this time as I already could hear the faint footsteps behind us.
I breathed quietly to myself, trying to focus. But a poke on my side wouldn't let me.
"Psst, did you hear me?"
"Shut up!"

Yoooooo, how was it? Too short? Too bad? Horrifying? I don't feel sure anymore about the plot.
But let me say there will be a major twist at the end, so don't judge so much already. :-D See ya and tell me watcha think, will ya?"
