"I ran away."
she saw izuku falter slightly in his steps before he regained his footing and walked next to her again but with wide eyes.
"W-What!? You were eleven what the hell do you mean ran away??"
"I ran away izuku. Meaning I left without telling anyone."
"B-but why? Where'd you go?"
"You already know why."
She saw him think for a second before his mouth went into a small 'o' shape and he snapped his fingers as if the thought never appeared in his mind.
Kagami rolled her eyes with a small smile before saying "you're such a dork."
His head whipped towards her with a small pout on his face and he quickly denied it with a big "No!"
She just lightly snickered to herself before he asked her the same question again.
"So where'd you go?"
Kagami was contemplating whether she should tell him the truth or not. If she told him the truth he could be put into more danger than he already is in and nezu said not too.
"Well at first I was hiding from my father so i stayed in abandoned houses and such, i always snuck into stores and stole food but it wasn't anything grand. But when i was around thirteen a pro came and saved me."
"W-WHAT??? W-WHO DID??"
she chuckled quietly at the small sparkles that seemed to float around him and the excitement radiating off of him.
"eraser head. he saved me."
"LIKE OUR TEACHER??"
"yes izuku. our teacher."
His eyes were wide and his jaw was slack but he still had that same sparkle in his irises.
"That's so cool! I-I mean not cool you were on the streets but cool that he took you in!"
"yeah i guess it is he's chill so i'm not bothered by it."
Izuku noticed that kagami was different from when they were kids. Back than she was almost like katsuki in a way. Always causing a havoc, wild personality, and loud.
But now she seems to be more tranquil and quiet. Her eyes have dulled significantly and she's always seen with a small gentle smile on her face. Maybe she'll warm up again and be just like how she was when she was younger but he doubts it.
One thing he noticed hasn't changed though is how bold she is. Earlier today Mina introduced her to kaminari and she immediately pointed out how he had food in his teeth. Well he ended up sulking in his seat for the rest of the day.
The rest of the walk was quiet only filled with the slight whistle of the breeze swaying their uniforms and hair. The sun was setting and it casted a pretty orange glow onto the earth.
Izuku looked to his side and got deja vu from when they were younger.
Her hair was swaying in the breeze and she had the same glow casted on her from when they first met at the playground.
"Kagami I have a question."
she lightly hummed ushering him to continue.
"I know your home life wasn't the best, but was it really that bad to the point you ran away?"
She still had a soft smile on her face noting that he didn't strike a nerve in her or make her irritated which made him let out a sigh of relief.
"Yeah it was pretty bad it just got to a point to where i ran away as fast as i could."
"Oh. I'm sorry about that I wish i could've been there for you more."
"It's not your fault izuku but i'm also sorry for leaving you and katsuki behind."
Izuku started waving his hands out in front of him frantically while spurting out words saying how it was fine and she didn't have to worry about it.
She just lightly chuckled at the boy while walking ahead of him.
"W-WAIT FOR ME."

KAGAMI BID IZUKU GOODBYE with a small hug and thanks for walking with her.
She got into the house with the extra key aizawa got her and put her shoes by the doorway and backpack on the rack.
Aizawa won't be home until around 1am so for now she has the house to herself.
She heated up some ramen noodles and sat down on the couch to turn on the news.
Tomorrow she'd go shopping with aizawa to get regular necessities such as toiletries, clothing, and stuff for her room. Oh and also a phone.
Snapping out of her thoughts she heard the news reporter speak on the TV
"Again folks Overt strikes again! This time they kill three citizens and harm many others. We will keep you updated."
Kagamis eyes widened and her eyebrows furrowed at the figure shown on the screen.
They had a dark blue hood covering their face and a mask covering the lower half. They had multiple gadgets attached to their suit and they were out in broad daylight.
Kagami sharpened her senses to try and get a better look at the screen and froze when she noticed brown hair and,
blazing blue eyes with a mole under their left eye with a star birthmark on their revealed thigh.
FACT: OVERT means out in broad daylight and not sneaking around and unconcealed
PROWLER means sneaking around in the dark and being concealed
