My eyes flutter open to the sound of my beeping alarm clock to the side. Grumbling a small curse to the sound I reach over and punch the clock hearing it fall to the ground I place my feet to the cold floor while rising I do a morning stretch before walking to my closet to find today's attire. I'm thinking something along the lines of a faded hoodie with a pair of dark washed jeans, but I glance over at my calendar to see it's picture day for God's sake. So I decide on light washed jeans, a black and white plaid shirt , and black Converse to tie it all together. Then walking over to my bathroom and take a quick shower. After drying my hair I decide on curling my dark brown locks and apply some light makeup. I placed my glasses on the bridge of my nose and pushed them up slowly before being satisfied with my look.
I walk downstairs to find mom and dad sitting with Noah at our breakfast nook in the kitchen eating cereal. I walk to the cabinets find nothing so I naturally walk to the fridge to find a bagel and strawberry creme cheese to go on top. Cleaning my mess in the kitchen I walk over to everyone else and have a seat.
"Good morning Riley," my mom says. Wow, she's in an awfully good mood this morning....
"Morning, mom." I reply back and turn to my dad reading over some papers for his job, "morning dad."
"Hey your gonna be late, hurry up and I'll drive you." he responds while glancing at his watch in a rush.

I grab my backpack and sling it over my shoulder. I kiss mom and Noah goodbye, not forgetting to tell them I love them, and jet out the door climbing in the passenger side. My school is a good ten minutes from the house so I try to make small talk conversation.
"So dad how's work been going?"
"You know I don't like talking about work, Riles, but it's been going good...how's your grades?"
"Oh you know the usual except math it went back down to a 'B' because we are starting up some new complicated stuff I'm not used to." I reply as he pulls up to the school.
"That's great, anyway have a good day, hun, see you later!" He calls out when I climb out of the car to face Coastal High-you could say-hell for me, but that's your choice. As soon as I push open the double doors I come to face my main three bullies, Jenna, Tory, and Mallory. They were my sister best-friends before "the accident". My sister was the outgoing one between the two of us, so she was more popular than me, although she never rubbed it in my face which I find very ironic.
"Well look who decided to come to school today," Mallory says and holds out my daily options. My daily options are basically blindfold punishments, I never know what's going to happen so I brace myself for the worst. Today she hold out four pieces of neatly folded paper.
Carry around our things all day or else...
"We decided that we would be nice and not ruin senior pictures for you." Tory snickers and flips her hair with her fresh manicure after tossing her books in my arms. Not too soon after her everyone else threw there's on too. I followed them to there lockers, when we arrive they pile up their books for the next couple of classes. As I turn to follow them down the hall I hit a brick wall and fall to the floor.
"Sorry, watch where you're going next time." he gathered the books and threw them back in my arms while jetting away before I could see his face.
"Hey slut I have to get to class, lets go." Jenna growled. I followed close behind them both. One time I followed them closer than I was 'allowed' and some jocks beat me up in the janitors closer. Let's just say I know better now than I did before.

After handling the bitch squad I walked to my own locker and my own classes. Luckily enough this day has gone by faster than expected. Which means all I have to do right now is get my picture taken without an 'accident' happening at lunch.
Quickly I shuffled through the crowded line without drawing much attention to myself as possible.
"Hello Riley, how are you today," Linda asks me while I pay for my sweet tea and salad.
"Now that you've mentioned it, I'm doing okay. Thanks for asking," she nodded and told me I was good to go before I jetted to the library, which thankfully, is a straight line across from the café. What's the worst thing that could happen between then and now? Oof.
"Way to jinx yourself, Riley," I mumbled to myself.
"You again?" I looked up to see the schools bad boy, Tyler Anderson.
"I am so sorry, I'll pay for your lunch just please don't hurt me, I mean, I know everyone uses me as a punching bag for releasing their-" he cupped his hand over my mouth to prevent anymore rambling.

"You don't have to buy my lunch, geez, why does everyone think I'm gonna punch them," he removed his hand. Well, who wouldn't be intimidated by 6 foot boy that is constantly wearing his signature smirk and classic leather jacket. Every once in a while he would wear just a t-shirt and jeans, that's when you really feel intimidated, his built torso and arms have a tendency pop out of the holes in his shirt.
"Are you done checking me out," he said with a smirk.
"U-Uh Yep, I better get going," I pulled myself off the ground with the help of the trusty wall behind me.
"Where ya headed?" Tyler asks contently while rocking back and forth on his heels.
"A place that ensures my safety," I gave a quick nod before trudging toward my safe haven.
"The library?" His words made me swivel on my heels.
"Why do you care?" I huffed. I'm really losing my work time. Ms. Blackmon must be wondering where I have ran off to.
"It was just a question, damn," he snapped.
"Yea, okay, like the schools bad boy would want to be spotted hanging in the library. Now if you can excuse me I have somewhere to be," I turn around one last time before making a beeline to the library.
