As you enter the grand hall escorted by your parents. You maintain a composed demeanor, but a tinge of nervousness and resignation is present on your face. Your eyes briefly scan the room before they lock onto Yunho, standing tall and regal among his entourage.
Yunho approaches you and gives you a bow and you curtsey politely in return.
"Good day," he says, his voice steady. "I trust your journey was safe and uneventful."
Your mind is still reeling from the loss of your lover, and the prospect of marrying someone you barely know only adds to your unease. Yet, you manage to keep a neutral expression on your face.
"Good day to you as well." You say as politely as possible given your current situation.
Yunho leads you and your parents to the dining room.
"Please, have a seat," Yunho gestures to the nearby chairs, his eyes lingering on you for a moment longer than necessary. He then looks over at your parents, who are watching the interaction intently.
You take a seat at the elaborate table, and Yunho sits across from you. The room is eerily silent for a few moments, the only sounds are the soft murmurs of your parents and Yunho's staff nearby.
Yunho clears his throat and breaks the silence. "So, I believe the time has come for us to get to know each other a bit better," he says, attempting a friendly smile.
The sound of Yunho's voice broke you out of your trance you cleared your throat before replying. "Right, um what would you like to know?"
Yunho takes a moment to think, his eyes scanning your face. "Well, for starters, what are your hobbies? What do you like to do in your free time?" he asks, hoping to break the tension with a bit of small talk.
There was one think you hated in this world more than anything when making conversation, and what was small talk, but you decided to just go along with it and reluctantly answered his question.
"Well, I love to paint as it relaxes me, I enjoy taking strolls in the garden and I also love reading."
Yunho smiles at your response, a hint of genuine interest in his eyes. "Really? Painting and taking strolls, hmm? I must admit, I didn't expect those to be your pastimes. Then again, I suppose I shouldn't judge a book by its cover," he jokes lightly.
As those words left his mouth you gave him a weird look. Nothing bothers you more than when a man assumes something based on your looks. As way to continue the conversation you ask Yunho the same question.
Yunho leans back in his chair, his gaze unwavering as he responds. "I suppose my hobbies are quite different from yours," he muses. "I find solace in training with the knights, particularly swordplay. I also enjoy reading, although my preferred subjects are mostly related to politics and diplomacy."
