It's been a year since the end of Giygas. Ness has missed his friends, Poo; always steadfast and never let the enemy intimidate him. Jeff; always ready with a plan in the blink of an eye and always saved us with his wits. Paula was always so caring...
The 4 had a conversation on how their lives have been going. This went on for like 30 minutes. They didn't even notice more students and the teacher walk in
"Good morning class, I hope everyone's doing ok today and is ready to tackle a new year! My name is Tessie, but you can call me Ms. T for short" she announced with a friendly smile. "I will now call out some names." The teacher then proceeded to call out the 4 names and a few others. A few others however, stuck out. They went by the names of Ninten, Ana, and Lucas.

Ness sensed potent PSI emitting from them. "How unusual...Poo, Paula, do you-?" Paula and Poo looked at Ness and nodded. "Seems like where not the only ones..." Poo pointed out. "I wonder where they come from..?" Paula asked. Jeff just sat there whistling, as he didn't have PSI. Jeff doesn't have the heritage nor the discipline for learning PSI.
"Well, we'll discuss more later, but for now, you are free to roam the school for the day! But only today, as we all use this day to explore the school, have fun kids!" Tessie told them
And just like that, every kid poured out of the room into the hallway. Every other kid was out in the halls too, and some teachers too to keep an eye on the kids
"Hey guys, I've got an idea!" Ness told the 3. "Let's follow Ninten and Ana, I wanna see something". The other 3 were confused about Ness's idea, but they had nothing better to do. "Welp, I can't think of anything else to do, let's see what you've got planned" Poo stated
The 4 students followed the 2 into the schoolyard, and stopped behind them. 'Here goes nothing..' Ness thought. "Pk Rockin!!" Ness yelled. He placed his pointer and middle fingers to the temple of his head and then pointed those fingers at Ninten and Ana. As expected, Ninten and Ana turned around quickly and Summoned a PSI Shield, blocking the attack. 'Heh, I knew it!' Ness thought. But Ness didn't expect what happened next. The blonde girl besides Ninten shocked Ness and paralyzed him.
"HEY, WHAT THE HELL?? I was just joking man!" Ness yelled. "Joking? Then why did you attack us intently?" Ninten asked. Paula walked up to settle the problem. "My apologies for Ness's behavior, he sensed PSI from you 2, and wanted to see if it was just a hunch." "Ninten and Ana looked at each other for a moment and nodded.
"Well if that's true, than my bad for paralyzing you" Ana said; casting a PK Healing, curing Ness's paralysis. "I'm Ana, and this is my boyfriend Ninten, but you guys know our names. No need to introduce yourselves either"
"Heh, my bad for that.." Ness apologized sheepishly. "Hey, no need, no one's hurt, right? But man, I've gotta tell you, your PSI strength is HUGE! I'm almost jealous!" Ninten explained
"I'm surprised you had the reflexes to react to that, your quick!" Poo added.
"Thanks! But...where did you learn to use PSI?" Ninten asked.
Ness, Paula, and Poo just shrugged. "Heritage, we were born with it." Ness explained. "Helped us stop Giygas"
Ninten and Ana froze at the name. "Wait...did you say Geugie or Giygas? We dealt with an alien being named Geugie. You think they're related? Their names are similar and they're both aliens..." Ana explained.
"Nah, coincidence probably.." Ness answered. "Well, we've got nothing good to do for the next 5 hours, maybe we can hit the burger shop?" Ninten asked
"We can teleport, but out of sight of course, we can't be seen.." Poo answered. "I've got an idea!" Ninten responded. Ninten initiated a PSI teleport on the group, and in the process used PK Flash, flashing everyone outside momentarily, and they disappeared with the flash, unseen
Next thing they knew, they came to a screeching halt in front of the burger shop. "Ah, Onett burger shop! Best fast food in the joint!" Ness exclaimed. "Everything is on me! I just withdrew a bunch of money my dad sent me!" Ninten told everyone
Everyone ordered a burger, fries and a drink...expect Poo of course. "Come on Poo, at least try a fry! It can't taste that bad to you!" Poo just looked at the fry in Ness's hand for a moment. "Wont hurt to try something new!" Jeff added. "..alright..fine" Poo finally answered. He took just a nibble. He looked alright on the outside, but he was physically gagging on the inside. "It's...fine" Poo lied...
"Man, you weren't kidding, these burgers are top notch!" Ninten said in between some bites "Don't talk with your mouth full..that sounds gross" Ana scowled Ninten.
"Awww... I forgot to get a drink. Ness, may you share yours with me?" Paula asked. Jeff let out a little whistle, and Poo smirked. "U-Uh, b-but I only have one straw.." Ness remarked. "I don't mind, really! We're close, no?" Paula asked. "I-I Of c-course.." Ness stuttered. He held up the cup to Paula and tried to see if a Paula would take a sip from it.. and to his surprise, she did! Ness tipped his hat over his face, he was really red at this point.
"Mmm..thanks Ness! What a gentleman!" Paula Teased. The others simply laughed. "Your smooth, Ness." Ana remarked "S-shut up..." Ness shot back
After 10 minutes of The group discussing PSI, Shows, Movies, and absurd hotel prices (you'll only get the hotel joke if you've played the game), they left the burger shop. "Well, I don't think they'll notice if we're gone for the whole day, let's just tell our parents that school was cut short today" Ness explained
Everyone else nodded. Well, I'll see you tomorrow, everyone! Ninten exclaimed. Ninten and Ana ran off, initiating PSI Teleport. Ness and his friends waved goodbye as they teleported put out of sight
"Well, I'll be on my way, everyone! Have a swell day!" Jeff bid everyone farewell. "Same here...I'll see you tomorrow guys!" Poo said as he teleported away
Ness and Paula waved, and Paula turned to Ness. "Well, I'll see you tomorrow Ness, thanks for sharing with me earlier" Paula thanked him, smiling. "Psh, it's n-nothing..." Ness said quietly. Paula then snatched Ness's hat and put it on her head, giggling. "Hey, give it back!" Ness yelled. Paula then teleported away, smiling and waving in the process
"...aw man, my hat..." Ness said sadly. He then thought about what happened at the burger shop between him and Paula. 'Maybe she..? No, I'm overthinking it, I was just being nice' Ness thought to himself, blushing a bit
"Welp, time to head home! Can't wait for my comfy bed!" Ness exclaimed, running off and teleporting out of thin air
