Kylan's POV

He blurted out, "I think, I'm dating Autumn."

"WHAT?" I practically screamed as my car came to a halt. Then I slowly, pulled to the sidewalk before pulling the brakes and properly staring at him. "When did this happen?" I asked confused. "Also, what do you mean you think you guys are dating?"

"Well..." He trailed off looking scared at my sudden outburst making me feel guilty. Ugh! I'm such a jerk!

"Jay." I spoke in a softer tone. "I am really happy for you." I really am; but I also feel kind of sad and there's this sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach. "I'm just excited to know the story." Trust me, not at all excited!

"Well, it was all so sudden I'm still not sure what it's supposed to mean for us." He said as he dived into explaning what had happened.

Jason's POV

It was around sixth period and I've had mostly all my classes with Kylan today. As I entered the classroom I found Autumn sitting there.

"Is this seat taken?" I smiled at her. She removed her bag putting it down on the floor beside her chair. I plopped down on the seat beside her. "So how's it going?"

"So far it's great. How's your day been?" She asked.

"It's mostly good. Except I just have this terrible hangover." I replied.

"Well... I have the best cure for a hangover. There is this Asian cafe that serves the best hangover soup ever. You've got to try it out!" She said while working out a few sums.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just the assignment we need to hand in today which I still haven't completed. Ugh! Our teacher is gonna give me this huge ass lecture if I don't complete it. I just hope I don't get detention." She kept stress-blabbing. It's a thing she does. She keeps talking without realising how much she's talking when she's stressed. "I don't even know how this slipped my mind. Oh! I'm so screwed."

"I'd love to go to that Asian place with you today, but I've promised Kylan I'll help him pick out his car from where we left it last night. Then we're probably having a sleepover. I mean, I haven't asked him, but he'll say yes, right?" I asked Autumn, feeling nervous about asking Kylan for that sleepover. I mean, we've grown into really good friends so soon. I hope he feels that too, and I'm not the only one. This stress-talking of Autumn is stressing me out too.

"Hey, you know what, let's bunk this class!" Autumn suddenly said looking up from her assignment.

"What?" I asked surprised.

"Yes. Let's do it, pleeeeaase Jason?" She pleaded. "Look, there's no way I can complete this before the end of this class if I wanna do it right. Let's just skip this class. What do you say?"

"I.... don't know." I trailed off.

"Oh come on! Look, let's skip this class and go to that Asian cafe. That way I won't have to face our trig teacher and I'll get plenty time to complete it properly and hand it over to him tomorrow. And in the meantime, you can tell me all about your crazy story of Kylan's stolen car and-" She rambled on already packing up her things.

"Not stolen... yet. Or never I hope." I said getting nervous thinking about what would happen if his car gets stolen.

"Yeah whatever. You can tell me all about the wild night you guys had yesterday, while I get you over this hangover and get you all ready and set for another wild night with Kylan. What do you say?" She said looking hopefully at me, done with packing all her things and ready to leave.
